There is a really good one of a guy hauling a back-hoe up a coal or hopper car to unload it. RJ Corman does this in their yard in Lexington, KY. They back a line of gondolas onto a siding with a ramp on the end. Guy in a bucket loader (or whatever) drives across the gondolas of sand to the opposite end and starts digging out the cars. Leaves enough on one end to make a ramp to the next car. Moves over to it and scoops out the ramp. I'm surprised OSHA has shut him down for that. He's always been a weird one. The engine house in Lexington is actually shipping containers stack on top of each other with a roof spaning across the tracks. He wanted to build a real building but the city denied his permit. So he built that and told them, it's not a building, just some containers! |
