Alimony : The Money you pay so you don't have to live with that crazy bitch. (most times it's well worth it) And no the ARFCOM curse has not grabbed me. A friend mentioned today what he paid after 10 years being married $68000.00 per year or $5666.00 per month She got the marital home, the brand new BMW He got a lake house (he owned it before they got married) He gets back the marital home after 20 years and thats where his alimony ends too. He has to pay the Mortgage on the marital home but he does get to throw her out in 19 more years |

I had to pay one year worth (due to being married for over 10 years), I kept the house, and my vehicle. Lost half of my 401k, and had to pay the remaining of her car payment (about 9 payments). All because she decided that she wanted to run around.

An old friend of mine got divorced. He has kind of an interesting alimony arrangement. There's some law that it falls under, but basically he pays through the nose for a shorter period of time, but then he's completely done. I want to say it was 5 or 7 years. I think the premise is that the increased amount of support allows a homemaker-type ex to go to college and establish their own career. Being she was a spoiled rotten gold digger type, she saw the dollar signs and was all over it, but hasn't been doing anything with the money except hanging out with her friends, pretending the party's still going. Having listened to her singing the keeping up with the Jones' tune for years, I'll shed no tears when she goes on food stamps. The crash will be spectacular. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
