So, the bag of dicks front lens cover spring is all fucked up. I took it apart, and the "hook" that sits in a groove in the cover worked it's way out. The result is, the other half of the spring that you can see no longer has tension (my finger is pointing at it). Tried bending the other end out to fit the groove better, but no luck. Looks like Aimpoint has new covers that look different than mine. Anyone confirm? Are they any better? Any aftermarket options? I'd like some better lens covers. Tried calling and emailing Aimpoint directly, but their customer service, like their lens covers, are a bag of dicks.
