Could somebody steer me to a site that has a free download for an Adobe text editor? I have the adobe reader but I need to make some changes to a file for work.

I think you'll need the full version of Acrobat to make text changes.

Try tucows.com and search PDF editor. There are some shareware ones. I use Pitstop which is quite expensive and is acutally a suite of plug-ins for the full version of Acrobat, but it is the best way to go.

You could copy the text out to a Word document, make your changes, and then PDF-ify it again. Here's an open-source PDF creator that works like a printer, but doesn't have any built-in editing capabilities.
