It is very persistent, continuing to attack and be blocked by Norton 360, again and again until I restart the computer.

Swifi uses about 30 to 40% of my CPU, above the normal CPU use.  It also uses about 3 gig of memory.

Anybody else have this problem because of visiting Arfcom?

Suggest better program than Norton 360.

Using Norton 360 while surfing ARFCOM. No problems at all.

Use adblock. It could be from one of the 500 adds on each page

I would recommend that you get the NoScript plug in for your web browser but I don't think they make it for Netscape Navigator.

I have no idea how Arfcommers get viruses so regularly.

The trojan is installed on your computer. Adblock isnt going to fix that issue. You need to install malwarebytes, and run that. I recommend running both that and your antivirus program in safe mode to delete the trojan.

I looked into Apple products but I don't think I can handle skinny jeans every day.

That's because they have such a low percentage of market share. If you are trying to steal personal data, you don't aim for 13% of the market.

1: update Adobe Flash Player.

2: switch to Kaspersky AV.

Remember which board you're on, none of us can handle skinny jeans.

I cleaned spyware off a mac just last week.  It's not as bad as it is on the PC (yet), but I fear the days of security through obscurity are coming to an end.
