For my father-in-law Bill.
He has had it rough the last few years, starting with a stroke, surgery for an anuerism, confinement to a wheelchair, and numerous hospitalizations. He started bleeding internally the other day, and may have had another stroke last night. He is on a ventilator and totally unresponsive, and the wife says "the hard decision may be very near". Bill and I have always gotten along famously, he is a true gentleman and the best father-in-law a guy could have, he made me feel at ease from the first time I met him. He is also an Air Force Veteran. Glad she went up to see him this week ( a scheduled trip) and got to talk to him before he took a turn for the worse. Pray for my wife Patti as well, she and her dad are extremely close, and this is going to tear her up something fierce. Update: Bill went home to glory a few minutes ago, he was removed from life support and passed peacefully. Pray for peace for my wife Patti,her Mom, and her two sisters. |
