Well, Grandma passed away just a bit ago. They took her off the ventilator about 10AM this morning.
I'm glad she's not suffering...and is now with Jesus, and other assorted family members who proceeded her to heaven. I'm tired.

She was devout and had no doubt about where she was headed when she died. So, this is just the beginning of the second part of her journey. |

What do you all think of the analysis that The New Deal failed to end the Depression as it was promised to, because it wasn't as large as originally intended?

Good looking kid! |

You know where that line of thinking is headed. Yep. I asked a college professor last week, and that was his answer. And the econ book I'm reading (current chapter on Keynesian economic) said the same thing. It also pointed out that John Maynard Keynes merely took what was already being done, and formed a political philosophy around it. New Deal predated Keynesian economics as a discipline. |

Well he looks awful happy |

God, Ive got a new job to start on Monday too. And no earthly idea where I need to be or what I need to do then either. LOL.

Seems to be a common thought process to our political counterparts––refusing to accept the truth, and instead interjecting a ludicrous belief that the reason for failure was the degree of application. In other words, they can still somehow rationalize their actions by saying it's our fault because we didn't allow them to push through extraordinarily severe measures. Gun control hasn't worked because it hasn't been strict enough. Social programs haven't worked because we haven't allowed them enough money. etc. etc. |

Precisely. If they had done what was best for them everyone, they wouldn't have had to die.
