Watching Fox this morning, AL Gore conducted an interview regarding climate change.  Towards the end, he stated that he personally witnessed "fish swimming down the streets of Miami during high tide", and that it was happening in Honolulu as well.  Anyone in Miami or Honolulu care to back up or refute his claims?

The mayor of South Beach was on Tucker the other night and he told the same lie. I don't live there, but I can tell you it's not happening. If it was happening there, it would be happening at every single coastal town on the eastern seaboard because physics and it's just not happening.

ETA: There are things called "king tides" that are higher than normal tides and they cause dry weather flooding but they've been happening for decades.

If it happened there would be pictures and video of it everywhere. It's a total lie... Other then a Hurricane pushing storm surge there's no fucking way the water level got that high.

Even if global warming is real, the Paris Accords won't resolve the "problem".  The Paris Accords allow the largest CO2 emitters (China) to continue and increase emissions.

And I don't think it's real.

Miami suffers from Super Moon. We just had one a few weeks ago, it causes an unusually high tide that floods the streets. Fish in the street, probably not, but tide in the streets...yes. It's a known problem.

The only thing Gore is suffering from is the destruction of his world wide business model...International carbon credits.

It's nothing new for him and his fellow grifters.

'Environmentalist' Gore should blush over high-water photo opWASHINGTON -- Four billion gallons of water were flushed down the Connecticut River last week so that Vice President Al Gore's canoe would not hit bottom during a photo opportunity. The National Republican Committee has been burning up my fax machine ever since, howling about it.Some of their barbs aren't bad, though, and are funny enough to pass on to readers. And Gore -- who ballyhoos his environmental stands but wasted a river-full of water -- probably deserves them.I may be biased as someone who grew up in a desert state where water is more valuable than gold.First, some background. Gore, who is running for president, decided to visit New Hampshire (site of the first presidential primary) to present a $100,000 federal grant check there to the Connecticut River Joint Commission. As part of that, Gore was to canoe down a four-mile stretch of the river. The trouble is, the area is in a drought -- and in some places it was only 6 to 8 inches deep -- too shallow for Gore's canoe. So Pacific Gas & Electric released 4 billion gallons of water from a dam it owns as requested by the river commission after it and the Secret Service fretted that Gore's canoe might run aground. That raised the river by 8 to 10 inches for four hours.Cleve Kapala, director of public affairs for the utility, told the press, "The river was pretty dry and no one wanted the canoes to be dragging on the bottom. Vice President Gore's people were concerned that we not raise the level too high either, because they didn't want it to be dangerous."The release irritated John Kassel, director of the Vermont Department of Natural Resources. "They won't release the water for the fish when we ask them to, but somehow they find themselves able to release it for a politician," he complained. But Gore spokesman Chris Lehane told the press no one from Gore's staff asked for the river to be raised. It simply helped set up the photo opportunity, I suppose. It also didn't object when the river commission asked that it be raised. And it did ask that the river not be raised so high that it might be dangerous. The Republican National Committee was quick to respond by throwing political water balloons at Gore.RNC National Chairman Jim Nicholson sent the press one fax reminding reporters how Gore's environmentalist book, "Earth in the Balance," warned that increasing per-person use of water combined with global climate change could lead to "poverty, hunger and disease," "revolutionary political disorder" and "wars fought over natural resources like fresh water."A later fax had another quote from Gore's book, where he laments, "Tragically, three-fifths of all irrigation water is wasted due to inefficient and environmentally harmful techniques." He didn't say whether that included floating politicians' canoes on low rivers. The Republicans also put out some interesting statistics. For example, the GOP noted that the 1992 National Energy Policy Act supported by the Clinton-Gore administration mandated that toilets have a capacity of only 1.6 gallons. So Nicholson noted that under those standards, Gore wasted the equivalent of 2.5 billion toilet flushes, or 2,110 flushes for each of New Hampshire's 1.19 million residents. Also, that energy law set a standard for kitchen and lavatory faucets of allowing a flow of no more than 2.5 gallons per minute.
Also, the RNC figured that the value of the water released to present the $100,000 check was roughly $7.1 million, based on rates charged by Pennichuck Water Works in Nashua, N.H.Nicholson noted in a fax that to use 4 billion gallons of water, someone would have to leave their kitchen faucet running for 3,042 years, 10 days, 53 minutes and 46 seconds. On the bright side, it all may wash away the memory about Gore claiming to be inventor of the Internet. It may even have given him a new campaign slogan: "Tipper, Canoe and High Water, too."http://www.deseretnews.com/article/709643/Environmentalist-Gore-should-blush-over-high-water-photo-op.html

Meh, Dorchester county Maryland.
I have personally witnessed fish and crabs going across the road. Happens few times a year, far back as I can remember. All it takes is the right combination of tides and wind.

It happens when the highest piece if ground around id 18" above sea level

Yes.  The left, islam and the global warming scam are allies because they share the principal goal of destroying Western Civilization.

I handle the global warming people by asking "show me a circumstance, data pattern or other scientific sign that could occur that would suggest that there's no such thing as global warming."

And they cannot do it.   It ALL has to be global warming.

They have built the equation such that whatever the inputs are, the product of it is always "global warming."

So, are you saying that just because Miami is lowest on the map that they would not flood sooner than say, Boston?

Global temps have been cycling up and down for millions of years (according to scientific data), but that hasn't stopped the lies.
