We all know the peaceniks’ mantra: ”Violence never solved anything” (with the inevitable conservative response: ”...except Hitler.”)
Seems like there are some who have decided, like their spiritual brethren in Al Qa’eda, that AOL NEWS LINK to force people to do what you want:
Over the past couple of years, more and more researchers who experiment on animals have been harassed and terrorized in their own homes with weapons that include firebombs, flooding and acid.
Scientists say the vandalism and intimidation threaten not just themselves and their families but the future of medical research. Specialists in such fields as addiction, eyesight and the aging brain have been targeted.

Accompanying the attacks is increasingly tough talk from activists such as Dr. Jerry Vlasak, a spokesman for the Animal Liberation Front press office. In an interview with The Associated Press, he said he is not encouraging anyone to commit murder, but “if you had to hurt somebody or intimidate them or kill them, it would be morally justifiable.”
Of course, as everyone in the Nation of Riflemen knows, the answer to the threat of violence is to meet it with more, and greater violence. If somebody were to throw a firebomb at my house, he’d get a bullet of [TBD] caliber right in the middle of his chest, and I daresay that this response would not be unique—except, it seems, among these hapless scientists, who are behaving like their lab bunnies and scurrying round helplessly.
Ever wondered why scientists use rabbits and mice, and not wolverines and honey badgers as test animals? It strikes me that the same analogy should be applied in this case, to humans. A dozen or so dead ALF terrorists would probably put an end to all this bullshit, and right quickly too.
If anyone out there actually knows a research scientist who has been thus threatened, I think it’s your duty to help them out with a quiet chat and some weapons training. If he or she refuses, then they deserve all they get, for choosing to be helpless victims. |
That is a line I hope to use elsewhere.
I worked an armed guard detail outside a pharmecutical company executive's home following some threats from ALF. The family was truely frightened.
