AC went out in my truck 4 years ago. About a week after the one year warranty on the reman unit ran out the compressor quit. Well this year 4 and I've since grown tired of changing reman units out that go out after warranty is expired.
Well I purchased a "brand new factory oem" compressor, dryer, the works. Is it really necessary to flush a AC system? If so how difficult is it and how do you do it? Just always been under perception that crap in system gets caught in the dryer |
| If the compressor failed internally then the material shavings will be distributed throughout the system. If you don't flush the system they can cause a blockage or damage a new compressor. It's cheap insurance for the new unit and will let you keep the warranty intact. |
