Wait! I thought the ARFCOM consensus was that they should have been left to drown as worthless, stupid leeches and looters. It sure was nice to hear somebody with a lick of sense and a thankful heart speaking on camera for once. I think the media really blew it for these people by turning the whole nation off listening to selected group bitching and crying. |

$5 says the reporter figured that since she's black, she'd give him the line he wanted. Which is, of course, pretty racist. "She's black, so I can ask this because she'll obviously say this." |

The people in the Dome have been well taken care of. I would be surprised if any of the shelter-e's would be complaining at all. I think the City of Houston and Mayor Bill White may be one of the saving graces (PR-wise) for the Bush administration in this event.

If thisi s the "interviews" after the speech-the ones, i think in front of the astrodome...yea I saw it last night- I was cringing on what the response to the baited questions was going to be and kept laughing every person he talked to countered his anti-bush stand IT WAS GREAT!!

Bush don't need PR. Anyone with a brain knows that the state and city fucked this up royally and the Feds had to bail them out. I personally think Bush fucked up taking the responsibilty for this when it wasn't the Feds that fucked up. The Bush bashers are having a field day with that. I have yet to hear the media say that the mayor of NO has taken ANY responsibility for this at all. |

Rush Limbaugh used those 'sound-bites' on his radio show on Monday.
Every single respondent placed the blame for the failures in N'awlins squarely on State and Local Officials. Not one blamed President Bush! Rush pointed out that the interview was conducted OUTSIDE the air-conditioned Astrodome in the heat of sultry summertime Texas night....and still, thus discomforted, those interviewed maintained their composures!
