Various persons have posted about gun collections, toys, etc.  The following are my 4 favorite things, some pertaining to guns, some not.  My grandson is definitely first, then guns, then my fast toy, then corner working at racing.

First is my grandson.  He is now 2 months old and he, his mom (my daughter), and his dad came to visit me this weekend at the beach.  The pictures aren't that great because it is just some little inexpensive digital camera.

Part of my collection.  The M1's are all WWII Springfield receivers.  One has undergone an armory rebuild, one is all original, and one had a NM op rod and barrel when I got it so I put the B-Square mount and a BSA scope on it.  In the foreground are 3 original AR180's (see next picture).  The M1 Carbine is a WWII Inland, all original.  The 2 bolt actions are a Savage 10FP in 30-06 and a Savage 112FV in .223, each with a Choate 'Ultimate Sniper' stock.  The 20" AR in the middle with the big scope is an Eagle Arms preban with a Cobra Gen 2 night scope and a Phantom flash hider.  That little rifle in front is an old AR7.

These are the 3 original AR180's plus 2 Eagle Arms preban carbines.  The 180 in the middle is a NIB NBF Howa with an original ArmaLite scope.  The one to it's left is a Sterling 180 with a Millet red dot scope.  That is my shooter and is very accurate.  It is about 95 percent and has been treated with Black T by Birdsong.  Nary a malfunction.  The one right of center is a Costa Mesa 180 in about 98 percent condition.  All 3 180's have had A2 flash hiders put on them because I like the look of it better.  Makes them look more modern.  I still have all 3 original 3 prong flash hiders.  On the far left is a NIB NBF Eagle Arms preban carbine.  The far right is an Eagle Arms carbine that has been changed to a flattop.

This is 2 views of my very fast 150+ toy.  Anniversary Edition RX7 TurboII.  It has been played with a bit.

This is from corner working.  This is an Audi LeMans Prototype at Sebring in March of this year during the 12 hour race.  Not a great picture, again because of the camera.

Well, there they are.  Did this just for giggles and grins.

Cute grandson you got there!

Mazda screwed up by stoping production on the RX7's I loved them, my mother had three of them and she loaned me one for a month and I fell in love. You can red line thoes things and they will keep giving more and more! Every Mustang GT I came across bit the dust and I am a Stang freak myself.

Greg3, the RX8 will be out next year, 250 hp with no turbo out of 80 cubic inches.  I have been driving rotaries since 1975 and I love that engine.  I am putting out close to 300 hp with this one with no internal mods (3 moving parts total inside the engine).  All with intake and exhaust mods externally (Racing Beat exhaust system among other things).  With the turbo it does not have that tinny sound most rotaries do.

Larry G,
I cannot thank you enough!!!!!! I just showed your pictures to my wife and now she doesn't think I have too many guns anymore! She used to tell me I was nuts to have so many and that "no one else would need so many ARs" (I have 4).

Well, I'm off the hook!

Thanks Larry!!!!!![beer]

Coltshooter, you are welcome.  There have been some previous posts from people whose collections make mine seem paltry.  Do a search for that (I don't know what keyword) and she will really not think you have too many.  Now, if I could just meet a woman who doesn't freak out at the mention of guns.

I once raced my motorcycle against a new RX7 turbo (last year the made them).  He gave me a run for my money.  I was shocked at the power he had at freeway speed.  I was expecting to dust him, but he was keeping up pretty good.

Those guns are pretty sweet.

mejames, in it's current configuration, this one will beat a stock 3rd generation RX7 (like the one you were talking about) and just about anything I have come up against.  Granted, some of it may be a lack of kahuna's by some drivers, but it is still fast.  Not a drag racer, but top end and handling, it's hard to beat.

Cute kid, Gwiggs.  I am gonna have a hard time with my grandson about guns.  His mother (my daughter) was influenced by her mom (my ex of 26 years) and is a little bit liberal.  She is coming around a little bit.  I and her husband are trying to educate her.

That one 50 cal round would be for Castro's head....... There are also 30 rounds of 223 ballistic tips pointed at New York.....  [;)]
