TERM LIMITS NOW !!!!!!
We need term limits in both the House and Senate. Most of the members of both have been in D.C. way too long. They are representing their OWN interests and not representing the people they were elected by. You could reduce the compensation to a fair level for say a max. of two(2) terms, offer no retirement or insurance benefits. They could keep their own that they have paid for themselves just like the rest of us so after they have done their two (2) terms and returned home they would still be covered and back in their normal life. Watching the speech i saw no evidence of a compromise happening, they are all too deeply rooted in the partisianship(sp.?) battle. We live in interesting times.
