It's like an inkjet printer, but instead of spraying tiny bits of ink, it sprays tiny bits of molten plastic. And instead of moving the printhead only side to side, and slowly rolling the paper out of the machine, it moves the printhead in four directions, creating the base layer of your design. Once that's done, the printhead moves UP, to print the next layer. When it's all done, you install your LPK and drop on an upper, and go shoot your new 3-D printed AR lower.
