Im a little tired of 28 Days Later being grouped in with zombie movies and documentaries. So FYI 28 DAYS LATER is NOT A ZOMBIE MOVIE.
Still a good training film, though. I wonder if CS grenades would effect them? Anybody know?
They were just infected with evil. Still very much alive and that means CS would still make you evily unhappy. |
yes those are viral zombies, have you not read the zombie survival guide?
I do love how they have the PETA/ALF losers release the virus. |
There not true zombies, but very similar situation, my zombie plan is compatible with a 28 days type outbreak.
My zombie plan involves a lot of zombies getting killed by a combination of .223, .40, .45, 12 guage, 7.62, and good, solid shovel strikes to the head. |
Hmm.....I thought it was more like Courtney Love on a 5-day long heroin binge? |
They're not zombies reanimated and possessed by supernatural evil but there are a lot of similarities.
The Omega Man isn't really about zombies either but it is sometimes worth discussing when the zombie-theme comes up. It's all social commentary in a way anyway. About becoming the minority in your own world where everyone else becomes part of an evil collective (communism/socialism) out to get you and turn you into one of them or kill you. |
Of course it was a zombie movie!
A virul infection, transfer through blood and the urge to eat the living. Keep in mind that there is no set rules for what is and is not a zombie. George Romero blew his title with this last movie having those zombies who taught eachother to shoot guns (). |
+1 Romeo Lima Foxtrot. |
You forgot the cricket bat! |
28 days was a terrible movie about Sandra Bullock being sentanced to a rehab clinic who befriends some whacky loser people. It would have been better with Courtney Love though. She would have fit right into that mess. |
It's Not?
But it's got Zombies..........and splattering guts due to gunfire. So.................it's a Zombie movie! |
FOR THE LAST FUCKING TIME:
28 Days: Sandra Bullock is an alcoholic in recovery. 28 Days Later: Rage-infected humans who are definitely not in recovery. That is all. |
I think we all know that. Notice the smiley. |
You would be surprised. |
True, Sounds like a mistake waiting to happen when you send a girlfriend to pick up 28 days later from the video store. |
28 days later had all the trappings of a zombie movie, with zombie-like zombies, evil military tyrant, gore and splattering guts, caged zombies, flesh eating zombies, infected zombies, etc... but with live zombies not dead zombies. Contrary to popular belief, zombies can run.
I welcome our turbo zombie overlords....
Anyone have info on 28Weeks Later? |
I agree, it should be included as a training film. I think "Shaun of the Dead" has good points too. Like identifying zombies vs. Democrats at a political convention. (Very tough, Howard Dean & Randi Rhodes scream at a little higher pitch.) |
How can you guys be serious? That movie was WAY better done than MOST of the current zombie movies, with atrocious acting and stupid humor. I loved it. Great Zombie Movie. |
I have a copy on VHS that I am willing to donate to fellow members to watch. I thought that it was ok until the end.....stupid Army guys. The black chick was kinda hot in an 80's hairdo kinda way.
28 Days Later made Land of the Dead look like poop. And it was supposed to be the zombie film of all zombie films....or at least it was hyped to be. |
"Get that damn screwdriver outta the side of my head" No Expert |
Land of the dead was complete and total caca. |
+1 You need to read Max Brook's book if you think 28 days is not a zombie movie. It's the "movie zombies" that are in fact not zombies! |
Land of the dead isnt a zombie movie, its about a director with too big a budget.
Good point. Now, in the movie Heat, what gun is DeNiro shooting during the bank robbery? |
Well this isn't exactly zombies. Should have lots of monsters and be a kick ass horror film if done right.
Silent Hill |
Strictly speaking they weren't zombies but they were close enough for me to consider this a usefull training video.
"Hows that for a slice of fried gold?" |
Zombies are the dead reanimated. Zombies must be killed by destroying the brain. The infected people in 28 days later could be killed by any means that would kill an uninfected person.
28 days later was not a Zombie movie. |
Sandra can go nuts over me any time she wants |
No way theyre making a movie of that! That is one of the sweetest games i`ve ever played. |
This is 100% correct. |
as a side not:
the zom..... things in 28 days later did not eat the flesh of the living/non-whacko people. they would vomit blood on them to infect them, or beat them to a bloody pulp.. the end of 28days later showed a few starved to death creatures who , by the looks of it, needed a few Big Macs with extra cheese. they did not eat the living, so, they died. rage is a bitch aint it? Gary |
Actually, I will take everyone here to task on that. ORIGINALLY, ZOMBIES WERE NOT THE REANIMATED DEAD. In fact, TRUE ZOMBIES are NOT the reanimated dead. Real zombies are folks who are drugged into a brain damaged state, where at first they APPEAR DEAD. Later they are "resurrected" to become slaves. The "living dead" were at some later point referred to as "Zombies" due to their addled state. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO........... In all "reality" 28 Days Later is a more technically correct "Zombie" film. Now.....LOCK AND LOAD!!! It's time ta shoot some Zombies!!!! |
