I've seen Chicago live twice. Always a good show and good guys.
My brother met the original drummer in a apartment/hotel in downtown Jackson, MS where he was being treated for a minor stroke. So for the next 3-4 months they would meet up for drinks and just shoot the bull. One day Danny Glover comes in for drinks with his partner, he was in town trying to get the Nissan plant to unionize. So the Chicago drummer had enough of him and started cussing at Glover. They had a war of words for about 10 minutes and Glover walks out of the bar. My brother was

Remember those band geeks you made fun of in high school? Yeah, they are way cooler than us now.
I saw the original Chicago in 74 and 75. Amazing shows and talent in that band. You couldn't pay me to sit through the neutered tribute band that is out there now. |
