2022 1,000 mile running challenge (Page 2 of 18)
|
1/5 3 1/7 7 1/8 10.5 trail. Got turned back by sheriff’s deputies, said the area was “closed.” Had to backtrack. Nothing in the news about bodies or anything today. Strange. 40.1 for the year. Not sure I have any shot at completing my first 50k next Sunday. Hamstring still very rough. |
I used to make 4140 & 4150, now I make Cu alloys.

I’d like to join the group but I’m not supposed to run anymore by DR recommendation. I was an avid runner before I destroyed my left Femoral Neck which is now 4 bolts, a titanium plate, and bone liquid metal. Walking miles? Biking miles on a reduced scale? Hiking miles? I’d love to participate but I’m too lucky to press it at my age to run again and am happy I’m able to walk and run if I have to. |

We don't judge in this thread, though we do tend to focus on miles logged on foot. The OP suggested "Feel free to list rucking, hiking, or walking miles if you like as well.". FWIW, in the past I logged every mile I could; walking the dogs, escorting students all over campus, etc. If you wanted to focus on cycling, there's also a dedicated thread for that. 2022 Cycling Goals |

As sgt_seti said we ficus on foot-based mileage, so surely walking and hiking fit into that and there is a biking thread as well. I imagine you have a good story or two to tell regarding that injury. Fear not the weapon, but rather the hand which wields it.

15.05 / 134 Second long run in a row on the treadmill. I'd be fine running outdoors in 0° and a bunch of snow, but 25° with a 25-30mph wind just isn't a condition in which I prefer to run. I have a trail 20k in two weeks. This will be my first trail race and only my second time ever running on trails. |

3/48.5 Had to wear 4 layers, a toboggan, and gloves as it's 33° and we are waiting on ice and snow. |
