It was my first day of work at a new job, the owner of the company had it on TV and clapped and cheered about the same time that photo was taken. He was over the top happy about the gov putting an end to it. It was sickening. It was also my last day at that job.

Personally, I really sad that people died needlessly on both sides. The intensity could've been wound down, but the ATF was grandstanding and they didn't want to back down.
Remember the ATF had the press their to observe the operation.

I walked the Waco "compound" in March of 1995. Shot two rolls of film and spent a couple hours... The Texas Militia erected a momument to the innocent that were killed that day in 93. Sad to see the shrine with all the toys and burned bent up kid bikes...

saw a documentary on it a while back. truly amazing how truly fucked up that whole thing was. i didn't realize it was possible to step on your dick (as an organization) that many steps in a row. crazy cult? sure. .gov freaking out and causing unnecessary deaths? a-yup |
