I had Reserved drill sergeants when I went through OSUT at Fort Benning in the summer/fall of 1995.
It sucked.
At first thought, people always tell me, "Oh damn, that must've been slack city since they were Reservists."
Bullshit.
Typically, with active duty drill sergeants, you get all the typical harassment/etc over with in the first few days or weeks. After a while you stop playing grab ass and you drill sergeants start to ease up on you a little bit as you prove that you're not a bunch of spastic kids anymore.
Not so with our Reservist drill sergeants. All throughout our cycle.... every 2 weeks was just like the first day all over again as we got new drill sergeants in. Since it was the first day for them, well it must've been the first day for the trainees too, right?
Not only that, but as Reservists these guys felt they had something to prove, not only to us, but to the active duty drill sergeants as well.
