Think about 100 Gigabyte hard drive.... that is 100 billion bytes of data.
Imagine each byte of data = 1 ton of TNT That was the amount of energy released by the 12/26/04 Earthquake... 100 Gigatons. Thats 100 Billion tons of TNT detonating. To put this in perspective... the largest nuclear device ever detonated was "only" 50 Megatons. |

Last I checked 500 to 600 seconds is AT MOST 10 minutes. Maybe time works different in the media. |
