It is one of the least public Special Forces in the world. First ever insight was this year when a newspaper called DN could follow them on a small training. The army did of course make sure nothing they didn't want to be written was made public. They were first caught on tape 2008 in Chad while doing recon missions in preperations for a EUFOR mission. At the time SOG was actually two groups called SSG and SIG but they were merged. This is the only video of them. There is no official gear for them and they tend to blur some of the equipment. FM (the army) have only made a few pictures public and they are very dark and you can't really see anything. I am however unsure about this soldiers nationality. It looks like he has a Danish flag from what I can see but has Swedish M90 camouflage. The army is usually very strict with what they do with the uniforms so I’d doubt they’d sell it to another army. |

An Afghan and coalition security force captured a senior Haqqani facilitator during an operation in Muhammed Aghah district, Logar province, Afghanistan, Apr. 28, 2012. Just about any that covers the entire ear will be both ear-pro and comm. the most common versions are the Peltor comm-tac (a few different models) and by a company called Sordin. I think MSA also makes some. |
