What’s the Cliff’s Notes on that? |

Quoted: ETA: Here's another thing. I am a Christian, and I believe in Good and Evil. When we open our minds too far to experience the supernatural, I believe there is a possibility of unhelpful things entering. Things we may have trouble getting rid of. Things that want to stay. This is spot on. |

We lived in a small farmhouse when I was 7-8 years old. I'm guessing that the house was probably 60 years old when we lived there. At night there would be a pounding on the old hardwood floors. It felt like someone using a hammer to beat on the floor, or someone with hard soles boots stomping on the floor. About 1 beat per second, but not in a set rhythm. You could hear it travel down the hall. If anyone sat up in bed, or got out of bed to investigate, it would immediately stop. One time I was laying in bed terrified while the pounding went on. Still laying in bed, I reached down and touched the floor. I felt the vibration from the heavy blow, and it stopped. We never knew what it could have been. It would happen several times a month throughout the year. I've checked Google maps, and the house has been added on to, but is still standing. |
| Back when the Sopranos was new on TV and said TVs weighed as much as a Yugoslavian car and we set them on "entertainment stands", something - and I still have no idea what it was - fell, hit, or shook my house so hard the 35" TV in the master bedroom crashed to the floor. The house shook so hard I thought one of the big trees in my yard fell on the roof. I ran outside and......nothing. My wife said she never heard or felt a thing. I have no idea what it was. |
| I've had multiple "experiences" that I detailed in the big thread. I've gone nose to nose with unclean spirits, and I've had my ass handed to me more than once. The "spirit world" exists, and there are good and evil spirits inhabiting it. If you enter into that world, be very, very careful. Evil, literally, knows no bounds. The Epistles of John speak of the devil as "roaring, ravening lion, seeking who he may devour." These folks playing with paranormal experiences are risking an awful lot when they play around with it... |

I have seen some weird things in the night sky that I cannot explain. Out in AZ and NM. When I was a teen in KY, a buddy and I snuck out of the house to roam the neighborhood. We went across the street to the old tobacco warehouse, turned flea market. At the time it was surrounded by woods on three sides. We were walking around the side towards the back. No wind, no animal noises. No crickets, cicadas, nothing. As we reached the back we heard wood cracking and about 3-4 trees started moving as if something big was pushing them. We couldn't see the bases, only the tops. No other trees moved. We ran all the way back to my house. Those woods are now the sight of apartments. |

Here are a few that I shared in the creepy thread. I have no idea if I saw or experienced something "Paranormal," it was however something that I cannot explain. Once upon a time I was deployed to Afghanistan. While working there we had access to live and recorded videos of things happening in every AOR. While bored one day a group of us selected the live video feed of a Reaper watching something somewhere not in Afghanistan and a fast mover about to go kinetic on the Reaper's target. We watched four bad guys walking west in a line on a trail through open desert, the first guy was about fifty meters ahead of the other three guys and they were walking about five meters apart. The fast mover dropped a bomb and it hit the number two guy in the formation and due to the moon dust (Some areas have a talcum powder like dust that we all called moon dust, it is super fine, has a static charge which makes it attracted to laptop and phone screens, and makes a huge mess) took a few moments to clear. Once it cleared we saw that the number two guy was gone and there were just bits and pieces left of third and fourth guys. The first guy was lying motionless on his back for a moment and then sat upright. When you have watched a lot of these videos you learn that exploding munitions are an odd and inconsistent thing and people survive some things that should be fatal so when the guy sat upright we were not surprised. After a few moments the guy put his hands onto the ground by his hips and stood up; he paused, bent slightly forward and touched his thighs as if he were brushing the dust off, and then he dissolved into smoke and dissipated into the wind. The guy looked like he was made of smoke and just faded away. We must have rewound that video twenty times in disbelief and then a couple of guys went and got some other people to watch. The new people would walk in, we would only tell them "Check this out and tell us what you think" and the common reaction was "WTF, no way, let me see that again." We had a lot of people check out the video in the next couple of days and no one could even begin to explain what had happened. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Around 1977 or 1978 my father, stepmother, and my two half brothers moved from their house by the beach to an older rental home in central Los Angeles, my brothers were around three or four years old at the time; I lived with my mother by the beach. The rental house had been built in the early to mid 1920's and was a typical for that era and for a Los Angeles home. I took a look up into the attic one time and was amazed, the house wiring was strung throughout the rafters and consisted of bare aluminum wiring tied to ceramic insulators. The house was more or less a square shaped white stucco covered home with a detached garage that was at the rear of the house. Within a month or so of moving in to their house my father and stepmother started being woken up in the night by my little brothers playing in the dark in their room, it didn't happen every night but it was happening at least three times a week. My father and stepmother would tell them to go back to bed and they did; they chalked it up to my brothers being excited about living in a new home. About a month later my stepmother heard one of my brothers talking in his room in the middle of the night and went to their room to tell them to go back to bed. She was surprised to find that only one of my brothers was awake and when she asked him who he had been talking with he told her that he had been talking with "Ricky." Thinking that my brother was just playing around she told him to stop talking with Ricky and go to bed. The next day when my brothers were playing in the living room my stepmother asked my brother that had been sleeping while his brother was up and talking if Ricky was the name for one of their toys. My brother told her that Ricky was the name of the man that lived in the garage and that he would knock on their window at night and ask them to come into the garage and play with him. Needless to say that freaked my stepmother out, she spoke with my dad, and my dad checked the garage and all the locks, especially the locks on their bedroom windows since my brother's bedroom was at the back of the house by the garage. My father and stepmother were light sleepers after that conversation and moved quickly into my brothers room if they heard them talking at night, they checked the windows every time but never saw anybody outside in the backyard or by the garage. About two weeks later my father and stepmother were outside talking with the next door neighbor to the south, his name was Ed. Ed was a really nice guy, probably in his late 70's; he had been living in that same house since the early 1950's. During their conversation Ed asked them how they liked the house, the neighborhood, and if they had settled in OK. They told Ed that they loved the family friendly neighborhood and the great park nearby. My stepmother casually mentioned that my brothers seemingly had an imaginary friend named Ricky and that Ricky had invited them to play in the garage. Ed's face got pale. Ed told them that there had been a man that lived in their house in the late 50's to early 60's and that his name had been "Blackie," Ed didn't know his real name, just that all the neighbors had called him Blackie and that he lived alone in the house. Supposedly Blackie had done something bad to a kid but before the police could arrest him he had hung himself in the garage. Yep, my father and stepmother were more than a little upset and considered moving out but they were renting and on a new two year lease so they opted to continue living in the house. I was around 12 or 13 at the time so they never mentioned the conversation with Ed to me or my little brothers until after they had moved out. After maybe six months had gone by my brothers quit playing/talking at night and began to sleep through the night. As I mentioned I was not told about any of this until years later but I used to use a bench in the garage to build my model planes when I was visiting my father and always felt like I was being watched; it didn't help that the garage was split down the middle by a rickety wood wall that had all sorts of gaps in the wood, the ceiling was built the same way, wood with dark gaps; I always felt like someone was watching me and when I'd turn around all I saw was the darkness in the gaps of the wood. I would only build my planes in the daytime and absolutely never went into the garage at night unless my dad was with me; I also never mentioned my unease in the garage to my father or stepmother until years later when they told us about Ricky/Blackie, I didn't want them to think that I was weird for being scared of an empty garage. A few years went by with no sign of anything unusual happening and my father and stepmother put the issue behind them; I still avoided the garage at night whenever I visited them. My father worked about forty miles away and worked the midnight shift, from midnight to 8am. One night at around two in the morning my stepmother woke up to the sound of heavy footsteps in the living room, thinking that it was my dad she called out to him and asked if everything was OK. Their bed headboard was on the east side of their bedroom; there were two doorways in their bedroom with one doorway in the west wall leading directly into the living room and the second doorway in the north wall and leading in to the kitchen. My stepmother sat up and saw the dark shape of a man standing at the foot of their bed with a dim light from the streetlight at the front of the house lighting him in silhouette, standing next to the man was their greyhound named Arrow (when you are a kid being pulled on your skateboard by a greyhound running full speed is both insanely fun and scary as hell.) My stepmother relaxed a bit when she saw their dog next to my father and asked my father if something was wrong and why he was home so early. The silhouette said nothing at all and after about five seconds turned to his left and walked across the room and through the closed and very solid wooden door leading into the kitchen. As soon as the shape had started moving their greyhound had turned his head and watched the man walk across the room, his head tracking him the entire time. My stepmother called my father and he came home from work as fast as he could. They moved out of that house shortly after that and only told me and my brothers the full story after they had moved into their new home. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I posted this story about eleven months before my wife died from cancer. This happened to me about two weeks ago, it was more of a WTF moment than creepy. A few weeks ago I woke up around two in the morning having been awakened by an unusual crinkling sound. At first I though one of our dogs had found something to chew so I sat up in bed, mentally prepared to stop my stupid dog from eating something it should not eat, it's a dog, they do that. I realized that the crinkling sound was coming from my bathroom so I turned my head to the right and noticed that my wife was standing in the bathroom (well illuminated by the nightlight in the bathroom) and was fumbling with something in her hands that made the crinkling noise, she stood oddly hunched over. My wife has been very sick so I assumed that she was struggling to open one of those plastic wrapped flat packs of pills that are a complete pain in the ass to open. After maybe five seconds I started to ask her if she wanted my help when my wife laying next to me in our bed asked me "What is that weird noise?" I turned to my wife in bed next to me, she was looking right at me, I stared at her for a moment and when I looked back into the bathroom there was nobody in there. I have no idea what happened but I saw something and my wife and I both heard something. Our home is new construction, I had it built in the middle of the woods two years ago so it has no past history. Weird. |

There is one thing in my life that I witnessed clear as day and cannot explain. I was in an old hotel in Austria. Preparing to leave the room for the evening in late afternoon, had everything on but my shirt, washing my face in the sink. The bathroom doorway was immediately left of the sink, and the door to leave the room was immediately in front of the bathroom door, which was open. The door to the hallway was closed but not latched, the latch was against the plate. Finished washing my face, dried it, and turned the 90 degrees to the left to step through the bathroom doorway. The door to the hallway slammed shut with great force as if someone outside had grabbed it and pulled with all their body weight. I opened the door expecting to see my travel partner, but he was not there. Nobody was, nor were any other doors close enough for someone to have disappeared in the second or two from the slam to me looking out. There were no drafts, no open windows, and the door required a firm tug to close. Attempted to replicate it and was never able. I put on my shirt and got out of there very quickly. I did work in a nursing home where many folks reported many things about one room. It was the last room in the hall, with an emergency exit past it, that was alarmed. I never saw anything personally but the people who claimed to and their stores were simply not possible with any known explanation. I grew up with a family who lived in a very old house. The parents still do. There were 3 brothers, one being a very close friend. All 3 brothers had claimed to have seen an old woman and a young boy, always in the same locations. Not angry or foreboding, just there. These were not brothers that would lie for each other, they would've given each other heaping rations of shit if they thought you were being a pussy. I did sleep in the house one night, but not on the same floor, but will say I always got a weird vibe there - not uncomfortable exactly, but it felt as if you were not alone. His parents never denied any of the claims and were very nonchalant about it, my understanding is that they all agreed and had accepted that there was something else there. There are definitely things we cannot explain in this world, and I don't know what they are or how much weight to give them. Sometimes it is okay not to know. |

A place I used to work at, I got to know a security guard or two. One day I was having a conversation with one and he told me about weird experiences he and others had had during the night shift. He was doing his check of all of the building at certain times and swipe his card at the sensors to show on the main computer that he was there. There is no way anyone in the building can be there without being on the system at what time they clocked in and what time they clocked out. He said it was maybe around 3 or 4 AM and he saw a guy in the hallway and spoke to him. The guy turned around and disappeared around a corner. The SG took off after the guy. SG said the guy was no more than 20 feet from him. SG rounds the corner. No one there. Searches the entire building. Nothing. We had a few weird experiences in the building. The story goes that a guy who was welding girders, fell off of the roof supports and dropped about 25 or thirty feet to his death. That place always had weird happenings. The people that worked there called him George. I had more than one experience with that entity. Others did too. Small building. LARGE global company. Secrets are rare there. They called him George. Must have been the first name of the guy who died. |

I've only had one paranormal experience in my life and I haven't been able to find anyone else who's experienced anything like this. About 10 years ago my wife and I were driving home to Chicago from Indiana on I90. The highway runs North/South through downtown before veering West toward O'hare airport. It was a Sunday afternoon and we expected heavy traffic (there's an intersection where I90 and I94 meet that is guaranteed to be a parking lot), yet on this day the traffic wasn't just light, it was virtually non-existent. My wife commented on how strange that was. I agreed. We didn't think anything of it until we passed through the downtown 'loop' area. There are a number of overpass bridges in this section that we passed under, as we had done many times before. I knew that after the last bridge our exit (Irving Park) was about 15 minutes away depending on traffic. But just a moment or two after we cleared that last bridge I saw our exit sign fly by us. I thought that was odd at first, and had I been alone I would've assumed I just zoned out listening to music or dozed off or something. But no sooner had that thought crossed my mind when my wife said "how did we get all the way up here?" She noticed it to, it was like we skipped over miles of highway in an instant. There were no other indicators, no flashes of light or anything like that. The encounter reminded me of those who claim to suddenly 'miss time', where hours will blink by in an instant, only instead of time it was space. |

A few years ago, my wife wakes me up saying, somewhat panicked, “someone’s in the house.” I immediately grab for the gun on my nightstand, and as I do we hear heavy footsteps running down the hall towards our bedroom. I’m ripping the pistol out of the holster, aiming at the door, and the footsteps just stop right at as they get to the door. We’re on the bed, I have the gun on the door and she’s getting the cameras up. Finally after hearing nothing, I check under the door, eventually clear the house. Nothing there. No alarms tripped, no cameras recorded motion, no doors open. Virtually impossible for someone to have gotten inside the house without leaving some trace. I’m not someone who believes in supernatural stuff but I had no other explanation for it, we both clearly remembered it. I still can hear the footsteps. But as I said, I don’t believe in it so I started to research what it could have been, and turns out memory is extremely messed up when you just wake up. My best guess is that my wife probably dreamed something, or heard something that her subconscious turned into something else, she woke me up, and my brain just wrote the memory in. Which is something I never knew it could do, but it’s a real thing. I’m not sure what is more disconcerting- the idea of the supernatural, or the knowledge that your own memories may be completely unreliable. Creepy. |

I forgot to mention in my above post that the SG also said some doors to secured areas ( Ones that only few had clearance to, would open and shut at times ). An employee must swipe a card to get into that area. Computer logs indicated no employee was in the building at the time and swiped a card to access the area. The door just came open and shut. We had those powerful magnetic locks that won`t open unless one hits the door with a battering ram. |

1st Ex Monster made a witches costume for our 2yo daughter, for Halloween. Heading out to a pre Halloween get together. We couldn't find the costume anywhere: Both of us looked all over for the costume. Wife was to grab the kids, and head towards the front door. I went out the back, and hit the lights. Youngest boy started screaming bloody murder. Turns out he fell and hit his head, on the hearth/wood burning stove. when the lights went out. After a few hours at the local ER. We returned home. To find the Witches costume, both of us looked for! Lying right where our son plowed into the brick hearth. A lot of other weird ass shit happened in that house/. |

Last December I was having sleep paralysis. I've had very vivid dreams, but I've never dreamed of a place I've actually been. I'll have a nightmare about being in high school not knowing where to go, but it's never a building that I've been in. I've had sleep paralysis in multiple locations, and every time it is exactly the room I'm in. I woke up frozen and can't move, I realized what was happening and I thought in my head "someone is standing next to me". I heard a loud, clear, distinct voice answer my thoughts and and say "Someone". And I have never felt such a feeling of fear, and I honestly can't imagine being so scared of anything more than that. I was trying to scream as hard as I could, and finally was able to, whether it was real or not. I woke up, and a bee landed on my wrist. It scared me and I shook it away, and then I woke up again. In the bible Angels tell people not to be afraid and I never understood that, why would someone be afraid of an angel. But maybe that's why? I don't know if it was an angel, demon, or alien. But I have have never felt such an intense feeling of fear, and I believe it was something |

Quoted: It happens every night of my life for the past 50+ years. Within 5 minutes after I get into bed, "something" sits on the edge of the bed. I feel the movement of the mattress, and I feel the angle of the mattress slope into the direction of "whatever" is sitting there. I have never been harmed by this entity. I believe it may be a guardian force or angel. I actually anticipate it. This is the first time I have ever shared this with anyone. I've felt that exact felling. Reading your post gave me chills, that feeling of weight sitting on the mattress and knowing where it's pressing down. I know exactly what you're talking about. |

Quoted: When it happened and I was laying in bed terrified, my first reaction was to ask Jesus to help me and it went away. I grew up as a kid going to church but have been absent since then. After that experience I wanted to take the blue pill and pretend it never happened, just don't think about it. But it's seeing this thread and other people have the same experiences, it's real. Probably not a coincidence today is Easter What was in the dark, terrified me. It happened more than once. Finally, I decided to reach out into the heart of darkness, to reach the safety of the light. I put my arm out into the darkness. Whatever was there, was gone. I have always lived by that saying unto this day. I thought that saying up myself. Never heard of it anywhere else. I was sick and tired of being afraid. No more. |

1, I was 6 years old. A dog of ours, border Collie named Sandy passed. I saw her walk down the hallway to my parents room several times after she was gone,as she did while alii. 2. I lived on a private club in Decatur Il. I was a sous chef and a room a part of my pay. It also came with 2 security checks nightly. Turning off lights, making sure no fires etc Every night I tried off the light in the library at midnight when I ended my shift. At 6 am the lights would be on and the room smelled of cigar smoke. I would walk the room looking for burned cigars f8nd none. Turn off the light and go to bed. When the GM. Came in at 8 the bloody lights would be on and he'd give me shit about it. After about a month of this. I said to the room one night I was gonna get thrown out and fired if they kept leaving the light on in the morning. After that it was never left on again. Also. One night as I was checking that room, I saw a leather chair compress like someone sat in it.i have a few more I will add later |

Quoted: I think some of us are hypersensitive to other things. Most aren`t. I'm thoroughly convinced of this. I'm pushing 80 and I've had so many incidences in my life going back to age 3, I could write a book. I've never sought or wished for those incidences. A few were terrifying, but most just confusing or inexplicable. I believe many or most people are less perceptive or just in denial. A few of these incidences were in the presence of others who only noticed when I directed their attention. To me, this supports the idea that some people are just unaware or distracted. I've accepted Jesus and have been redeemed by him. All the above has NOTHING to do with seeking the occult or devil worship as some foggy-brains might suggest. |
|
I've had spiritual experiences with God, but I specifically avoid anything to do with the occult. I believe there ARE things beyond our visible world, both Good and Evil. I try not to give the latter any more access to me than it already has: No white noise, no quiji boards, nada. |
| Our family dog went from docile sleeping on the couch to chasing something unseen snarling and barking like a life-and-death fight at something in the corner of the room. Then just whimpered and ran away. This was the house I grew up in built in the 1700s. Lots of noises, cold spots, footsteps, etc. I still get goosebumps thinking about some of it. You could feel it - I had a few friends that flat out refused to enter the house that didn't know of any of the spooky stuff. |

I agree that a reasoning adult might intentionally or otherwise open a door to the unknown, but I don't think it's totally necessary for things to enter or phenomena to happen. |

I have seen the spirit of someone dear to me after they died, kinda like he (my grandfather) was checking on me before he went on his journey to heaven. The day my mom passed she sent us a message in a way that only my wife and I understood. Since we moved out to the country we have seen things, maybe spirits, maybe a demons? We prayed it away. Not everyone can see or sense it. |

Aside from a story from my MIL and her husband Frank in the hospital a few years ago and a seeing Jesus moment before he died. He was a total non Christian. All I have is I should had probably been dead several times and yet survived. I am 63 now. From falling out of tree's as a kid, I had a floor in a garage attic give way I fell about 20ft and hit the back of my head on the bumper of a truck and slammed on garage floor below, I got up dazed but ok. A few motorcycle accidents, working on boats in Alaska. Was drunk and fell down a flight of stairs went head first and buried my side of face into metal grating at the btm and ripped 90% of my ear off broke my cheek bone in 3 places.. There's a few others but someone is watching over me, I am sure that will come to an end here at some point as I age. You all read these stories and so many more over the years here, not sure how some of you can't believe there is something like this we don't know of in this life. |

Quoted: No, but I have sensed evil/presence in places where nothing should be. This happened to me on two occasions. I had no idea what I was feeling at the time, just extremely bad energy in an otherwise unassuming room. Felt like anxious, heavy, depressing thoughts, like something was terribly wrong but I don't know what, and unwelcome like when you walk into a room and everyone is pissed at you. It was only when my pastor described exactly what I felt ("have you ever been somewhere and you felt..."), and it clicked right away "yes, I know exactly what you're talking about!" She said "that's evil. You were in the presence of evil." Nothing crazy happened, just the feeling of extremely negative energy for no apparent reason. |

Quoted: I visited the Queen Mary a couple of weeks ago. Stateroom B340. If you know, you know. About 20 years ago, I used to stay in the Queen Mary 3 or 4 times a year for work. I explored that ship many times between 3am and daylight. I never experienced anything out of the ordinary. |

Yes. And I’m pretty sure I know why. Don’t have time to write it all out now even though I’ve mentioned it before in these threads over the years, but I had a bunch of experiences from around the time I was 30 or so for several year in two homes that I have owned here in Arizona. It’s subsided now. Anyway, I’ll bookmark this and try to come back to it if it’s still a functional thread when I get some time. What I will say is once you’ve experienced this stuff, you know there is shit out there we can’t explain. |

I remember crying, because it scared me. But all these years later, I wondered if that was him saying goodbye. |

Thinking about my post on page 1, lots of things can be explained away. Lights, noises, dishes falling, things missing and then reappearing, movement out of the corner of your eye, shadows, etc. Could it be paranormal, a ghost, a spirt, etc.? Sure, there could also be a simple explanation for it as well. The hotel room incident though proved to me 100% there are paranormal things. There is absolutely no way to explain a chair that was pushed up under a table, pulling itself away from the table and turning 45 degrees to face me. Somebody/something pulled that chair out, turned it around and I presume sit in it. I now view the whole topic of ghosts/paranormal activity differently and realize we don't really know what's out there. |

Quoted: ETA: Here's another thing. I am a Christian, and I believe in Good and Evil. When we open our minds too far to experience the supernatural, I believe there is a possibility of unhelpful things entering. Things we may have trouble getting rid of. Things that want to stay. I believe one of my close friends experienced almost exactly that. She is still not right, even years later. |

That happened to me Once when I got in bed. I just lied down and felt something heavy sit on my legs and felt the bed mattress depress. Weirdest shit. I was Wide awake when this happened. I’ve also heard other noises in the house. Nothing has moved tho. When I was 12yo my grandmother was in ICU in the hospital. I woke from a solid sleep at 215a. She told me in a dream or whatever that she had passed on. I cried then went back to bed. The next morning when I walked into the kitchen, my parents were there sitting at the table. They told me that she had died the exact time that I woke up. |

Quoted: We lived in a small farmhouse when I was 7-8 years old. I've checked Google maps, and the house has been added on to, but is still standing. water hammer? first time I heard it I about jumped out of my skin.... |

I want to say yes. I have my late brother's Zippo lighter. I don't smoke, so I have no practical use to carry it. It stays... in a drawer. But which drawer? I swear I've never moved it, but I find it in different drawers around the house - my nightstand drawer, the kitchen junk drawer, bathroom vanity drawer, workshop drawer. It just appears in a random drawer every few months. |

One day I straight up saw a woman walk into the laundry room at my parents house in the basement. I was like "what the??? Holy crap, I'm tripping balls." I was about to walk upstairs when I thought "I know it's nothing, but I'm gonna go look just to make sure." Then again, shook my head and said "yeah, I'm tripping balls." Told my buddy and he said "why did you go look if you knew it was nothing?" "Because it was real enough I had to go make sure." He just looks at me like . Then a couple months later "remember when you told me you saw something in your house and you went to look? I understand why you checked it now." Because he had the same thing happen to him.Nothing paranormal though, just......well, yeah.

Four Incidents: 1. Approximately 1982. I was about five years old. My Father had been honorably discharged from the US Navy as an E5 and was attending Central Michigan University while working a full time job. He and my Mother were in their mid/late 20's and had purchased a three bedroom ranch style house on a quarter acre lot that was relatively new on a rural, but paved road in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan (farm field behind it, nice relatively new homes up and down the road on each side). My Father had been stationed in Spain where my Mother lived with him and they brought back various things they had purchased in Spain. My Mother loved to visit the open air bazaar style flea markets that Spain had at the time. Among the various little knick-knacks she purchased in Spain were porcelain angle figures. She installed a shelf in the dining room area and placed the angles on the shelf. Those angles would repeatedly be found every morning facing towards the wall, towards my bedroom, which was the only bedroom on the other side of that wall (there was a full bathroom between my room and the wall the shelf was on). My Mother and Father are not superstitiuos even in the slightest and to my amazement to this day did not do anything other than just turn the angels back around each morning until eventually my Mom just got rid of them and figured "problem solved." The angels were way too high up for me to reach them even with a chair. 2. Later in 1982. My Godfather was still in the US Navy, but was home on leave and decided to visit my family. He came to stay with us for a few days and slept in the guest bedroom, which was across from the bathroom and diagnol to my bedroom. In the middle of the night, he got up to go to the bathroom and he witnessed what he thought was my Mother, because it was as he described it "a woman in a white long gown going into my bedroom." He thought nothing of it, figuring it was just my Mother checking in on me for some reason and he went back to bed. In the morning, he asked my Mother what was wrong with me that prompted her to get up in the middle of the night and go into my room. My Mother told him that she had not woken up and did not go into my room. What's more, she was not sleeping in a white night gown and did not own a night gown like it (she slept in a long t-shirt). 3. Early 1983. My Uncle was over to visit my family. He stays in the guest room and he too in the middle of the night gets up to use the bathroom. He also sees what he thought was a glimpse of my Mother going into my room, again wearing a long white night gown. Now, my Uncle did not know my Godfather at all, and had never met him. My parents had never told my Uncle about my Godfather's story. However, what my Uncle described to them the next morning during breakfast matched exactly what my Godfather had told them months previously. 4. Winter of 2001. I'm attending Central Michigan University. My parents had left Mt. Pleasant after my Father's graduation from Cental Michigan Univesity and I had gone the rest of my life without incident. I'm in an apartment on the second floor in an apartment building that just a few years old at that time living with one roommate. My roommate is at work (Red Lobster) and I'm with my girlfriend in my bedroom both fully clothed sober laying on my bed watching TV with her. My apartment door is locked and the windows are all locked (it was winter). The bedroom ceiling light is on, we're wide awake in a well lighted room. Suddenly, the noise of my bedroom door knob turning catches the attention of my girlfriend and I who both look over and watch as the door knob to my bedroom starts to turn extremely slowly, but clearly is turning. We both watch as the door knob after making a full turn stops as if someone let it go and snaps back loudly. I got up thinking it was my roommate, which would have been odd because he never would have tried to open the door without knocking or announcing himself first. I open the door and....nothing. There was nobody in our apartment. I did a full search of the apartment, every room was empty, nothing was unlocked, and my roommate was still working his shift at Red Lobster. There was no way that anyone who had been at my bedroom door could have exited quickly enough not to be seen by me. It was the oddest damn thing I'd ever seen. Long story short: I was young when the first incidents happened and never experienced them myself. If anything was going into my room as a kid, I never knew about it or it didn't impact me enough to leave lasting memory. The college incident came after I had already lived in Mt. Pleasant as a student for years. I have no idea why it happened, or what caused it to happen. Mt. Pleasant, Michigan is the home of a Native American reservation, but I never lived on the reservation's land. I can't explain any of it, but I know what I saw that night in college and I wasn't alone to witness it. Was it a ghost? Is there something in Mt. Pleasant that for some reason targets me? I can't say. My parents are normal white bread midwestern Americans, like a lot of Boomers they weren't particularly reglious (church maybe twice a years on Christmas and Easter), but they didn't dabble in the occult or anything heretical or demonic. My parents were married in the Catholic Church, I had been baptized, and there was nothing in the history of the house known to us that was of any note. I graduated from Central Michigan University without any further incidents and have lived my life up to now without any further incidents, but since leaving Mt. Pleasant I have never been back to spend a night again and have no plans to do so. |

Quoted: The house I lived in until I was 13 was an built in the late 19th-Century. I experienced all kinds of odd stuff there. Residual sounds. Doors opening. Objects moving. A bed shaking. Feeling someone sit on my bed. There was a staircase over my bedroom (a converted closet). There would occasionally be the sounds of footsteps on the stairs. One night, I heard the steps, I ran out of my room, and snapped a pic of the staircase. A third of the pic is a smoky/foggy anomaly. Is it a defect? The flash reflecting off something? Or a ghost? I was a bit obsessed with the paranormal back then, though. Sightings, Unsolved Mysteries, The X-Files, etc. were my favorite shows. Now, I'm a skeptic. I've been to many "haunted" locations and not experienced anything. I really do believe in strange things in certain houses/locations |

Yup. Once at my grandparents house. After, my grandpa passed away. I was staying at the house and heard what was my grandpa foot falls on the bare wood of the floor. Went to the living room and asked my family did any walked in the hallway in the last couple minutes. No on did. Two at my parents home. Clear day with the windows opened and the only person home. I heard an errie voice called my first name. The last one when was I in deep sleep and saw an angry native Hawaiian man trying to choke me which woke me up hard. My parents home is next to firehouse and by one the city's oldest operating cemeteries. Local lore is that a lot of Hawaiians in the 1830 to 1850 died from the outbreak of diseases that sweeped the area. Their bodies laid either next to the cemetery wall or by a fire station. Plus, that fire station has known ghost appearances that is keep quiet by the station personnel. |
