Quoted: ETA: Here's another thing. I am a Christian, and I believe in Good and Evil. When we open our minds too far to experience the supernatural, I believe there is a possibility of unhelpful things entering. Things we may have trouble getting rid of. Things that want to stay. That seems to be a thing. Stuff that wants to attach itself to a person and influence them to mess up their life, so it can "feed" on negative energy that gets generated |

The only one I think I’ve experienced in my time was the house that I lived in until I was 10 years old. In a little nowhere town called Daviston in central Alabama, we lived in an old single story house that was built in 1921. Weird stuff was witnessed by more than just me during the eight years that we lived in that house. For my story, it would be my bedroom. Inside my bedroom was a cut out in the right side of the room that was about the size of a door. The cutout itself had been repurposed into a concave type of shelving. It basically kept little action, figures and toys on it shelves that belong to my sister and I. This only happened once, but it is forever burned into my memory for how creepy it was. I want to say this happened when I was around kindergarten age, but one night I woke up in the middle of the night and heard a door creaking. The type of creaking noise, reminiscent of an old door with rusty hinges slowly opening. I remember not feeling very scared about it but more curious so I got out of the bed and followed the sound right up to the cut out shelving. I stood in front of the shelving and just listened as closely as I could, and for the life of me I know I heard footsteps on the other side of that wall. I remember in that exact moment that I was confused because I knew the only thing on the other side of that wall was our laundry room and there was no one in there. My parents bedroom was next to mine, and I walked into the hallway and poked my head into their bedroom door and both mom and dad were sound asleep. I could still hear this door creaking sound as I was staring at them sleeping in the bed for a few seconds that I was there. This is where I started getting scared because I now realized I could not attribute the sound to my parents being awake and walking through the house somewhere. I remember going and climbing back into my bed and brushing it away so I can hurry up and fall back asleep and it would be daylight again as much as I knew it. The sound stopped as soon as I climbed back in bed. About three or four years ago I brought this story up to my dad because for some reason it had been bugging me to ask him about the history of the house. I asked him if he had ever experienced anything and he said he had many times. He said the one time that scared him The most was when my mom found out at the last minute that she had to work late on her second shift job at the textile mill which was conveniently located across the road from our house. He got my sister and I into bed that night around 9 o’clock and he went and laid in bed shortly after knowing my mom would be home around 10:30 or so. He said he had fallen asleep pretty quick and he was awoken to feeling the weight of someone sit on the bed next to him. Thinking it was my mom, he asked her how was work and there was no reply. He said he rolled over to look at her, and there was no one there, but the indention of someone sitting on the bed was still there, and it went away as if someone stood up. He said not two seconds after that happened he heard my mom unlocked the deadbolt on the front door and walk in the house. The second time something happened was about a year later. He said my sister and I had went with our mom to town to grocery shop and he had stayed home to install a trolling motor on his John boat. After finishing up the trolling motor, he said he went inside and sat down in the living room and turned on the TV and about 30 minutes later he heard what sounded like a door shut, and then the kitchen door on the side of the house opened and he heard little footsteps like my sister and I are running in the house. He said he got up to go and help my mom bring groceries inside and when he walked into the kitchen, the door was standing wide open to the outside of the yard and her car was not in the driveway and nor was myself or my sister in the house anywhere. My half brother who would come and stay with us every so often said he experienced similar stuff in that house too, and he could not stand that house. In my experience that I noted above with the bedroom shelving, the room my brother was the most freaked out about was this little tucked away room behind the laundry room. For several years that room stayed locked, and I never thought anything about it as a kid until one day my dad went into that room to put a picture frame or something of the sort in there. I remember seeing the door open and following him in there and it was pretty much 100% empty besides the picture and like an old bedframe. My brother still to this day tells me that something was not right about that room. He also told me recently something I never really realize as a kid, but there was a decent size window in that room that I have looked out of many times into the yard, but I also do not remember seeing a window right there from the outside of the house. That is most likely attributed to misremembering, but it sent chills down my spine when he pointed that out because when he said that I realize how I never noticed it myself. My parents bought that house in 1990 and my dad said he started noticing things pretty quickly. He spoke to some older folks in the community who had been living in that town for several generations and the tale is that in the back part of the yard there used to be a cabin that an old man lived in by himself back in the civil war days. The old man was killed by soldiers for his livestock when he refused to turn them over for the soldiers and supposedly in his dying breath, he said he curse the soldiers who had done this to him, and also the land. When my dad told me this…… my blood ran cold. The backyard of our property where this old man’s house supposedly was always felt very weird. I never wanted to ride my bike over there or run around or play or anything and mind you I had no clue of this story of the old man that my dad was told. It always felt like I was being watched anytime I set foot over there and I could never understand why I felt that way. When my best friend would come over and spend the night with us, he would point out me in the middle of the night that he could hear footsteps in the house when he and I were the only ones awake as well. To this day, he says he is so glad we moved out of that house because it freaked him out to go over there. Telling this story makes me feel like the kids from the horror movie IT. Remembering the scary weirdness of that house. |

I have had many experiences in my life where I have a dream that links to something that is happening or will happen. Usually horrible events involving people or places miles or even hundreds of miles away. Very detailed, specific, and not really open to interpretation. The next day, the news will report on that same event that either occurred while I was sleeping or shortly afterwards. For example, in 1996 I had a dream that I was in a cage, on fire, and all I could hear were pigs oinking and squealing in pain and terror. I realized I was a pig and I was in a cage or a pen too. We were all burning alive. I woke up and was obviously shaken. I told my girlfriend. The next morning, I was at work. She called me to tell me that the UW Swine research facility burned to the ground overnight and all 700 pigs were killed. This was 25 miles or so from where I lived. The night before 9/11, I had a dream that I was playing around with microsoft flight simulator and practicing crashing into buildings in NYC. You get the idea. I have also had dreams about classmates, old friends, people I haven't seen in years and I wake up and wonder what ever happened to them. I google search and find that they have died very recently. It is disturbing to say the least. To be honest, it is really a burden. As I get older, this happens less frequently. |

I was a cop for a long time. Years ago I was on a suicide call where dude was seated in an armchair in the corner of the living room of a rental house. He had shot himself with a .38 in the head. The scene wasn't really messy or overly traumatic. I was shift supervisor and called the detectives, made sure my guys had secured the scene and that was that - not really a big deal. This rental house turned over quite a bit and over the years we went there for DV calls etc. on an occasional basis. I went along on a boy girl trouble there years later. I went into the house where officers had separated the two and were hashing out a solution to their problems. As I was listening to what was going on, I looked over to the corner and saw suicide dude from years ago was sitting there in his lounge chair in the same condition I had last seen him. Apparently I interrupted the conversation with a "Holy shit!" and walked back outside the front door. I collected myself and went back inside and sure enough dude was still there just as before. Thankfully he did not move or say anything! |

Just as a horror fan, this is a fun thread to read. Personally, I'm a skeptic as I prefer scientific explanations. But I do think there are things that we have not yet explained. I've been working at this local hospice clinic for about 18 months to get my clinical hours and have seen a lot of people pass. One thing that I've noticed is that patients tend to know the time of their passing more often than the medical staff. We had a 74 yo man with terminal cancer that wasn't supposed to die for another month or so. I was in his room straightening some items while he was asleep and his daughter was taking a call outside the center. Suddenly, I heard a huge gasp and he threw his hands up in the air as if reaching for something and said 'Elsa!'. His eyes flew open as he looked around the room in a panicked state. 'Get my daughter, it's time!' he said. I ran outside and grabbed his daughter. As soon as she came back into the room, he hugged her and passed. When she later asked me if he said anything and I told her, she said that Elsa was her mother who passed from breast cancer 7 years ago. |

I had a weird and I guess somewhat innocuous event occur back in the early 80's as a security guard working graveyard shift at a major private university for tuition money. I would arrive 2 hours early most nights and a colleague would let me into a locked chapel which housed a $60,000 Steinway and just play to my heart's content until my shift started. Colleague got tired of having to unlock the door so he said just take the key to a locksmith so I would have my own. Slightly illegal yes, but I really wasn't supposed to be in there after hours anyway as I was not a music student so there was that. I took the key to a locksmith 20 miles from campus in a run down part of town and noticed the locksmith was an old, white-bearded homeless looking guy but he took the key from my hands to duplicate it. All of the sudden he stops and says "I can't duplicate this key because it unlocks a chapel at xx university which would be private property..." I was flummoxed and at a loss of words so just took the key and walked out. Once home I examined the key with a microscope and UV light but found absolutely no identifying marks, only a raised letter C on the key which I assumed stood for Chapel (?) I was wearing no campus clothing or team apparel. Totally thought I was going to be busted but nothing else ever came of it and colleague continued to unlock door for me to practice before shift. |

In the apartment my wife and I lived in when we first got married, we would occasionally hear footsteps in the attic space. In our first house, there were a bunch of occurrences. At the foot of our bed, there was a spot where the sub-floor would creak when you stepped on it. I got home one evening before my wife and kids and as I came into the living room, I heard that creak above me. It spooked me, like pistol out clearing the house kind of spooked me. We had a mirror at the foot of the stairs and if you were sitting in the living room and looked in the mirror, you could see the landing at the top of the stairs. It was not uncommon to see a shadow flit across that landing in the mirror. That house was on the market for about year after we moved and the woman who cleaned after we moved told us a whole bunch of stuff. Items being knocked over in the basement, thinking she was talking to one of her kids only to realize there was nobody there, ect. I've got more but I'll share later. |

Been many over the years. My best friend “visited” me on the one year anniversary of his death in a dream. He told me “Everything will be all right”. One week later I was in the hospital recovering from an emergency triple bypass. Worked out west in a dealership that was built on the site of a honky-tonk bar that burned, from what I heard it had been around in the 30’s with a lot of questionable history. It wasn’t unusual for the service manager or myself to be up there late at night catching up on work or wrenching on our own stuff. Also not unusual to hear the doors to the showroom open or close, and other inside noises. The only thing, nobody else was around. The service manger and I would joke about the ghosts. One night, he and I were both in our offices/departments doing end of month paperwork. Between the door to his office and my parts department there was a hallway to the showroom. As the dealership had a recent break-in and we were on the outskirts of town the dealer made a new rule that we were not to be on premises after hours unless we were carrying. So this night we both heard what sounded like an outside door being opened and footsteps. We both at the same time came from our departments and met at both sides of the hallway. Service manager said “You heard that too?” We slowly went up to the showroom, nobody there. As we parked our cars outside the gate it was still locked, no other cars either in or outside of the lot. So what was it? |

I wfh 3 days a week and am here by myself. I have heard multiple times footsteps upstairs (I work in my finished basement)-I always run up the stairs and no one there. Years ago hunting with my daughter when she was a child I was in a blind overlooking a cut corn field surrounded by bluffs and a creek on three sides. The creek had trees around it. My pov was field, tree line, creek and then immediately bluff-the tree line was about 150 yards away, then about 20' of trees, then creek, then immediately bluff. The first evening at late dusk in October (so there were still leaves on the trees) I saw a blue green glow from the area of the creek and it just lingered there. I thought to myself that is odd, and it went away by the time we got to the 4 wheeler. The more I thought about it the more it pissed me off that someone was fucking with my daughter's youth hunt. The second day at late dusk it showed up again-except I was ready for it. I jumped out of the blind and sprinted the 150 yards to the tree line and jumped into the creek with my surefire and a pistol (my intention was to scare the piss out of whomever was doing it) and the light went away right before I got to the tree line, but I burst into the trees and stopped at the edge of the creek. I shined my light up and down the creek and there was nothing NOT A THING. The property was the site of an old county jail farm with a couple of house sites that just have a chimney left. I asked the property owner who is always friendly and talkative about it and he clammed up and didn't want to talk about it. Later doing some internet researching about it I now realize that it was stupid to chase an orb in the woods. |

Gotta post this everytime it comes up Recording with a pvs14 while I was home alone. ![]() Ghost/figure/thing? caught on PVS14 I dont really believe in the paranormal. However I am Christian, and I do believe that evil is real. And perhaps some of the things people experience is a manifestation of that. ...or your orb picture is just a bug. Lol. |

Quoted: It happens every night of my life for the past 50+ years. Within 5 minutes after I get into bed, "something" sits on the edge of the bed. I feel the movement of the mattress, and I feel the angle of the mattress slope into the direction of "whatever" is sitting there. I have never been harmed by this entity. I believe it may be a guardian force or angel. I actually anticipate it. This is the first time I have ever shared this with anyone. I always try to ignore it, or convince myself it could be explained if I tried to look it up. I randomly either feel my bed slope, gently move like a cat or small dog is walking across it, or occasionally gently/slightly shake like a dog panting. It’s always right before I fall asleep, and I occasionally have sleep paralysis, so I just tell myself that’s what’s going on. |

I have witnessed some paranormal stuff. Displaced sounds, partial apparitions, unexplained touch…. They are all “paranormal” by definition. Do I know what they were? No. Could it be something we don’t have the science to explain? Sure. Could it be spirits or something else? I guess so. I just know it’s freaky as hell when it happens. |
|
I had something similar happen to me OP. Seconds after I shut off the lights and was about to fall asleep one night, WHAM! something hit the roof of my house right above my bedroom, hard. Found a dead "American Coot" bird on the ground by my house the next day. It must have died mid flight and pretty high up there. Nothing like that has ever happened to me before or since, and the timing was incredible. |

Even dismissing anything that could be hand-waved away like seeing things out of the corner of my eye or thinking I heard my name called, I've watched a book open and slam itself shut. I've routinely come home to miniblinds stuck parted as if someone had been looking through them. I've heard doors opening and closing in the middle of the night. I've caught random whiffs of purfume at a time when my wife seldom wore it. Ironically, I now live on a property with three graves on it and have yet to experience anything as brash or in-your-face as I have in other places, just the usual stuff that can brushed off. I've been meaning to finish catching up to the big creepy thread and adding my stories (there's a lot I haven't mentioned here) to it when I get done. Maybe soon. |

I didn’t personally experience anything, but that was part of the reason I thought it was so interesting. While traveling for work there was a hotel I’d stay in for 3 to 7 weeks a year, depending on my schedule. I basically overheard a series of ghost stories from guests I assumed didn’t know each other or the other stories. Only one person seemed to react like it was a ghost, the others just wanted an explanation. One morning my coworker and I were having breakfast near the front desk and a guy came down to complain about someone coming into his room while he slept. He said he took a call the night before and used the hotel pen and paper to write down his schedule for the next day. When he woke up the page he wrote on was ripped off the pad, crumpled up and thrown on the floor, and the pad and pen were put back where he got them from. The hostess basically ignored the story, but told him they would move his stuff to a new room and he could pick up his new key when he got back. My coworker and I had a 45 minute commute, so we talked about it. It was the first complaint we both heard, so we started talking about the complaints we each heard alone. One guy opened his suitcase on the couch and laid all his outfits out next to it, but his suitcase was repacked over night. Another guy had the same thing happen to his toiletries on the bathroom counter. I can’t remember all the complaints, but they were basically all about things being put away while they slept, and they were all from the same room. We came back that evening and talked to the hostess. She insisted we were crazy and she didn’t know anything about it. We started joking about the room every time we checked in, but they hotel workers always ignored us. I started requesting a room on the first floor that was as far from the other room as I could get. Eventually we overheard a complaint from the one guest that was really freaked out. He said he turned the floor lamp off right before bed, and clearly remembered it being in the corner furthest from the bed. He woke up when the lamp turned on, but it was moved right next to the bed. He was the only one we heard that demanded his stuff to be moved to a new room, the employees offered to move everyone else’s stuff. We kept trying to talk to the staff, but they all ignored us. Then one evening I helped a hostess put her spare on when she had a flat after work, so we figured she might talk to us. She ignored us when we went to the front desk the next night, but we were sitting outside when her shift ended, so she came over to talk to us. She apologized, and said part of the new hire training was about the ghost stories, and they were all told they would immediately be fired for discussing it with guests. She said the hotel chain required rooms to be filled in a certain order to keep housekeeping efficient, so it was one of the first rooms to be filled. They had to follow the chain’s policy, so they basically just waited for a complaint so they could offer a new room. She said housekeeping would only clean the room in pairs so one person could stand in the open doorway, and every time all the staff got together outside of work they would trade new stories. Apparently a lady committed suicide and everything in the room had to be replaced, all the way down to the carpet and fresh paint. My coworker and I noticed we only heard men complain, and thought the story the hostess told us seemed a little extreme for a suicide, so we wondered if she was murdered instead. |

My old firehouse was haunted... I experienced a few thing personally, and several other guys had stories of things they couldn't explain away. Foot steps coming from the second floor when it was locked and no one was up there. They would walk down the center hall above the TV room in the truck house.. you would hear them start at the middle of the hall, and take about 15 steps, then just stop... hall was about 60' long, with locked doors on one side. That was pretty common, lots of guys heard the footsteps. One night myself and three other guys were sitting at the poker table in the bar upstairs playing cards, not drinking as we were the duty crew, it was prob 2am. It was my turn to deal, so I was looking down and shuffling cards, when the person to my left suddenly spins around in his chair like someone just pulled his hair... I look up at him and he says "someone just walked past me..." I look at the other two guys and they are both wide eyed and pale. One says to the other " you saw that, right?", and the other says "I saw something but I dont know what it was..." I'm like "ok, haha, you guys are fucking with me"... and then 10' behind me, all of our jackets were hung over the back of the bar stools, and had been there for hours. As I finished my statement, my jacket fell off the back of the barstool like someone pulled the sleeve and slide it sideways off the back... We were the only ones in the house except for the dispatcher down stairs... There is no place to hide in the bar, only one door in and out to the hallway and the lights in the hallway are on motion sensors, and they were off. We put the cards away, grabbed our stuff and went downstairs to watch TV in the truck house... I dont know what they saw, but I know they were all scared, and these were guys who did not scare easy. The one who "felt someone walk behind" him was a Army vet from the 82nd, and had been my best friend at the time for about 7 years. I trusted him without hesitation or doubt. He believed someone walked behind him. I believe him. One of the four of us was killed on 9/11 in the twin towers. He was one of the 343. One is doing life in Federal prison for some shitty choices in his life. My best friend and I still talk about it more than 25 years later, and neither one of us can think of any rational explanation for the events of that night. I do believe there are things in this world that operate on another plane, and some people have a "gift" and can see and/communicate with them. My brother's neighbor, Bobby, went to see the "Long Island Medium"... she is a psychic that communicates with the dead. I know lots of people are very skeptical of their abilities. Bobby had lost his wife of 30 years to cancer and was devastated. He was not dealing with it well at all. He had a memorial in his living room to his wife, Rosey. He had some pictures, and would light a small candle every night. Someone suggested to him to go see a psychic. This was before the LI Medium had a TV show and was famous. Bobby got her number from an internet search, and called to make an appointment. Back then you could get an appointment in a couple weeks. All he told her on the phone was his first name. He goes to her house a couple weeks later, and he sits down with her. The first thing she says to him is "Rose is here and she says get rid of the shrine, its ridiculous..." Bobby told me he almost passed out, and then started to cry. Then she tells him "Rose says cryings not helping anything so knock it off" which is what Bobby used to tell his kids when they were young. He came home from his psychic experience a changed man, and is a firm believer in the afterlife. There are lots of things in this world we know nothing about, and even more we know a little about but cant explain... |

Quoted: I worked at an elementary school where shadow people and poltergeist activity was very common. Activity tended to fuck with people who were kinda shitty and would just "pay a visit" to everyone else who was okay, cool, or good. The Black and Hispanic staff HATED any activity. Our Hispanic cleaning night crew had a separate contract at the school to leave a 6 p.m. and return at 5 a.m. to finish their work to avoid any night issues. The area was about the worst for the area, so I don't blame them for not wanting to be there at night. Very grateful students never seemed to notice (that we about) and the staff kept it pretty quiet. Never experience anything before then or since. Place was/still is wild. I'll elaborate more if anyone is interested. I wonder if the shadow people are actually the Shuyet from Egyptian Mythology are similar to it. To Egyptian mythos the human body is comprised of nine parts. Khet or the "physical body" Sah or the "spiritual body" Ren or the "name, identity" Ba or the "personality" Ka or the "double" or "vital essence" Ib or the "heart" Shuyet or the "shadow" Sekhem or the "power, form" Akh or Ikhu – The Immortal Self In a commentary to The Egyptian Book of the Dead (BD), Egyptologist Ogden Goelet, Jr. discusses the forms of the shadow: In many BD papyri and tombs the deceased is depicted emerging from the tomb by day in shadow form, a thin, black, featureless silhouette of a person. The person in this form is, as we would put it, a mere shadow of his former existence, yet nonetheless still existing. Another form the shadow assumes in the BD, especially in connection with gods, is an ostrich-feather sun-shade, an object which would create a shadow. I do not believe in Egyptian Mythology but find it interesting. |

Quoted: I believe there are things that we as human beings aren't meant to understand. What some call paranormal activity is part of that. I have a few from the house I grew up and lived there till into my mid-twenties. It was in St. Louis County and it was a large two story, 5 bedrooms upstairs, LR, Dinning room and kitchen downstairs, 2.5 car garage and full basement. Double lot, largest on the Street/Block. My great grandfather built it back when the whole area was farm land, Not the HOOD it became. My dad's grand mother and mother both passed away there. Too many small things too list, but the biggest two, that I'd love some actual explaining are: 1. On day, My mother, my G/F at the time, and my sister where in the LR watching something on TV. Where I was sitting, far right end of the couch with my feet up on the table, out of the corner of my eye and kinda to a right angle, I could see straight through the dining room into the kitchen. I could see the kitchen counter/sink... Well this time, I saw something (not recognizable, kind if a shadow, but not even a shape really. About the same time, we heard this loud ass (yet familiar) screeching sound. It was no missing or mistaking it. It was the farthest drawer from where I was sitting at the end of the kitchen counter. If I turned my head several degrees to the right, I could clearly see it. My grandfather was not carpenter, but he had built the counter, cabinets and drawer for them back in the day. This drawer was about 2.5, maybe 3' wide at most, about 4" deep and a good 1.5' from front to rear. That and all the drawers were always a pain to open. You had to grab it by both handles, give it a bit of a lift, then tug it open. My mother sometimes had trouble getting it open when her arthritis would act up. No way it just side open by itself. This day, I heard the Screech of it, saw the flash of whatever it was out of the corner of my eye, then when I jerked my head in that direction, I saw the drawer, fully opened??? WTF, was that? I got up, ran in there, checked the back/side door, it was shut/locked. The doors going to the basement, out to the garage and upstairs were all shut. I checked out in the garage, the basement and upstairs, there was obviously, no one else in the house, except for us in the living room. I even went to the drawer and closed/opened it, 2-3 times to experiment with it and prove of stiff the slides were... No way, it just slide open on its own. If the house shifted that much, it'd probably have caved in... So WTF had happened and made that POS drawer pop open as it is. 2. As I said earlier, the house was a large 2 story with 5 bedrooms upstairs. Like the 1st event, Mom, myself, on my my G/Fs and a friend, in the LR watching TV. No one else in the house. This time we heard a huge boom, come from upstairs like a hardware store shelf had been bumped by a forklift and crashed down. So I went through the kitchen and upstairs, checking each room. Did something fall on the house and come thought the roof? WTF. When I open the door to the spare bedroom, it didn't really have much a small desk, small book shelf and a ""Day Bed"" kind alike a bed, with railing around 3 sides. On that bed, I always kept a large plastic toolbox, filled with some of my tools. Mostly, Screw Drivers, Crimpers, cutter, pliers, maybe a hammer, etc. etc.. I always kept it at the far inside side of the bed against the railing. It was all the way across the room, flipped upside down and on the floor, all my crap all over the place. Again, HOW TF??? I picked it up, but it back where it was, all the way to the far side against the railing. Then as a test, I had to roll it over 3 or 4 complete times, before it finally reached the edge of the bed and fell off and straight down next to the bed, not across the room where I had found it. Again, HOW TF???? Over the years, we had tons of WTFs, you might be crazy/or Imagining things happen, but these were the two biggest most vivid that we recall. |

Multiple times at work I’ve had doors open by themselves. On camera at times. Last week the opening door was not caught on camera also my movement just prior was not on camera either. I just came out from an area I could have not gotten to without being on camera prior to getting there. For some reason this last time was not motion detected, very strange. I saw the door open a few feet away from me expecting a coworker to be there. But when I looked no one was there at all. |
| I worked as mall security when I was younger for a mall in North KC,MO. It’s now torn down and gone. Lots of weird unexplainable things happened to me there. My brother worked with me as well. We had multiple suicides and a murder on the property. As well as a very old graveyard. Lots of…negative energy in one particular area. |

Maybe? I do have a thought though, we know there are light bands and sounds bands we cant see......perhaps, there is a lot more out there that we are not ment to see or experience, and paranormal activity happens when there is a glitch.....essentially two wave lengths intersecting/interacting, even though they are not ment too. I don't think we know shit about humanity or existence. |

Quoted: IDK if that's true or not, but the possibility exists. I don't mess with it. I guess my point is that spending a lot of time on the paranormal might not be a good thing because Evil exists. While I'm certainly not a *good Christian* I do believe in something greater - beyond our understanding. You can call it God, I do. It isn't a matter of focusing on the paranormal, it exists, as good and evil do. Choices are made and those choices reverberate through time. |

Quoted: And even if it’s not evil, and is just some sort of scientifically explainable thing that we just don’t understand…. You don’t want to be the next Marie Curie that gets effed up by something that you are farting around with without knowing the dangers True. Acknowledging that something might exist is a far cry from flirting with it. Whether you believe in the God of the Bible or not, Genesis has a lesson about messing with the wrong things. We would be wise to take heed. |

Quoted: The only one I think I’ve experienced in my time was the house that I lived in until I was 10 years old. Thank you for taking the time to type all of that out. My cousin moved into a house and he and his wife renovated the place. They did a good job. It was beautiful on the inside after they were finished. Strange things did happen over the time that they were there. Turns out, the house was built around the early 1900`s. A Doctor lived in the home. Many people died there. Apparently a few souls have never left. He lives in another house now. No problems. |

Quoted: I was a cop for a long time. I don`t mention my "strange experiences" to too many people. It is only when I know folks well, that I open up. Thank you for sharing your story. |

Quoted: I have witnessed some paranormal stuff. Yeah. Some of the stories I have heard from folks around me plus my own experiences.................... can`t be explained. |

I have never seen anything paranormal in recovering hundreds of suicides recovering thousands of deceased people Cremating 30,000+ people But, 15 years ago, after I left that job and moved far out into the country, my wife and I got home with a van load of sleeping children about midnight. I noticed a faint green glow out in the pasture, and assumed someone had a green headlight on and probably shot a deer out of season. Nothing unusual for the area, and nothing I was going to worry about or investigate. As I was looking out there, my wife said to me, what it that and pointed up between the house and the shed to the woods. There were a pair of green lights, fading into and out of view while floating in a pattern I can best describe as a figure 8. At the time, they appeared to me to be dancing with each other. The distance to the woods was 50 or 60 yards, and they were not in the woods, but in front of it. The pattern was about 2 feet off the ground to 8 feet in the air. They floated off behind the house and out of sight. I left my wife in the locked vehicle and ran into the house to look out the windows for them. I never saw them again, but my wife told me once I got her in the house that she saw them float off and down the valley after I entered the house. While I was in the house, I checked all the rooms and looked out all the windows. After knowing it was clear, I carried the rest of the sleeping children in to the house, and than remembered the faint light in the pasture - I had forgotten all about it. I spent another hour looking for the lights, but never saw them again or since. For what it is worth, this was on a Sunday, and I was getting home from having a Sunday evening message at a Church as a visiting speaker. I know what I saw, but have no idea what they were. I do know that I was terrified when I left the van for the house, but also chose to leave my carry gun on the kitchen table while I cleared the house. I was and still am of the opinion that it would not have been helpful at the time. My wife says I was in the house for a half an hour. I would say closer to 5 or 6 minutes, I did not want her out there alone. There were cattle in the pasture, none of them were harmed or acted strange. As a Christian, I believe in the spiritual realm, but I don't understand it. I am not really sure I want to. |

Whether you believe in the God of the Bible or not, Genesis has a lesson about messing with the wrong things. We would be wise to take heed. I am paraphrasing here. Some verse I read in a chapter said something about "and they were sorely afraid". Thankfully I only played with a Ouija board once in my life. Was young. Now, I wouldn`t get near one if my life depended on it. Something about opening up a doorway for other beings to come through. Entities one does not want in their lives. |
| There are multiple dimensions, that are mathematically provable. My dog can detect someone is a good person or bad person. She is 5 and has growled at 3 people in her life, who have gotten near me. I am not talking about just a warning growl. This is a, I'm gonna f u up if you come any closer growl. She can also hear things I can't. Can she see things I can't, maybe.... |

I have had two in my life. The first was when I worked at a small movie theater during college. Weird things would happen on occasion, and people had always told me it was haunted, but I didn't quite believe it. One night, as one of the last movies were letting out, I was waiting by the door with the broom to go in and get cleaning done so I could get out of there. I did a head count as people strolled out, and once the final person made it out, I walked in and saw one person, sitting on the left side, midway back staring at the screen. Larger guy, mostly bald, just watching. I turned, and decided to let him watch the credits, and started out when I realized only 7 people got tickets for that one. I look back, and nobody is there. I told the manager and she took me up to the office and pulled a picture out of the desk, of the manager from when the place was built. He had been accused of stealing some money from the place, and had a heart attack the next day and died. Also, turns out he was buried just over the hill from the theater. The second was after I almost died in the hospital from sepsis and a colon abscess, from not realizing what I thought was a kidney stone was actually a perforation due to diverticulitis. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital, getting pumped full of antibiotics. But, the night I came home, I got into bed almost immediately and I felt one of the cats jump up in bed with me. As I reached over to pet it, nothing was there. I called out to my girlfriend and she confirmed they were all out there sleeping on my couch. About a year before, we had to put the cat my girlfriend had since we started dating down due to kidney failure. Now, this cat hated me. The only times it would get close to me was when it was time for food. When the cat started going downhill, she began to like me a little bit. I am pretty convinced it was her, either checking up on me, or, wishing I was dead. Either or. |
