My first...bout 22. Only good I got out of it was my daughter.
My current wife, I was 33....almost 10 years later, and after a lot of dumbassery on my part and no attempts to kill me, we're still going strong. Got to pin her at nursing graduation. Surprisingly she's not crazy. Attached File |

I was 21, she was 18...Married 5 years later. Still together after 26 years
30 when I was hospitalized. She was 26 and a medical student.
She is the second greatest thing that ever happened to me. The first was the son she gave us! |
16 and 22. Turns out I was wrong about both.
Never worried about it after that. A few months of fun is all I expect anymore. |
I thought it twice now and the first one ended in a divorce after knowing one another for 22 years, I was 16 and she was 17. I waited another eight years before I met what I thought was the one again.
12. She was my first kiss. We didn't actually hook up until I was about 25 (34 now)
There were a few "not the ones" in between for both of us. |
15,18,20,29 only married the last one. Still going strong decades later.
Funny part is I picked all the losers, the winning relationship she picked me. Sometimes we only know what we like and close our minds to what's good for us until someone else shows us. My wife wasn't my type ( tall blonde cheerleader over and over) she showed to branch out my type. |

We started dating at 14 as sophomores in high school. Got married at 21. Still happily married at 34.
We met in High School, I was 15, she was 14. We celebrated our 59th Wedding Anniversary this year.
I was 24, she was 18, met at church right before I left for my first Med Cruise,
married 37 years now. |
Started dating when I was 23 she was 18. Met her a couple years earlier than that, she was a friend of my sisters. Married after I turned 24 but before she turned 19. 26 years and counting.
26 and we married the next year.
I dated a dozen or more women before "her" always sure that the current one was the right one. +30 years of blissful marriage later ... the last one was the right one. |
34 she is a few years older. Neither of us thought we would find the one. We're kinda loners who love to be together.
55 years old. She was 53, widowed. Her late husband was a good guy. I found a 53-year-old woman who enjoyed marriage, likes men, and has a good sense of humor.
My first wife and I were poorly matched. Resulted in a 30-year relationship filled with pain, anger and tragedy. I have been happier in the past 6.5 years than I was in the previous 35. |
I was 16, she was 15, she just didn't know it yet. Chased her for 7 years, been married 26
24 when we got together. Iraq, Afghanistan and three kids later, still going strong.
I was 2, she was 3.
Didn't start dating and come to the conclusion of "hey, she's the one" until I was 21 |
1st one? 15 and she was 18. That lasted 5 years.
2nd one? 20 and she was 23. that lasted until 30 3rd? 30 and she was 22. that's still going strong. 25th wedding anniversary in a few days. Lot's of other "ones" in between though. |

28, married at 30. Been married for 30 years. Previous longest relationship was maybe a year.
Met at 18 married at 21. Still happily married 10 years later.
18. Well, 17. I met my wife just over a month before I turned 18. She was 16.
I went into the US Army and she finished high school. We got married a month after she graduated. Just celebrated out 40th wedding anniversary right at 2 months ago. Before my wife there were quite a few I thought would be the "one". Yeah, I had a bad habit of getting too serious, too quick and looking to far ahead. Fortunately, she and I had the same ideas at the same time (and mostly still do). |
Met "the one" while I was engaged to the first wife. I should have trusted my instinct, but instead I chose to endure my first marriage like an idiot.
I have been married to "the one" now for 25 years, and she puts up with my crap and is my best friend. |
We met when she was 17 and I was 15. Started dating when I was 19 and she was 21. Married when I was 22 and she was 24; 10 years ago.
27, and she was not "the one", she was a woman that I decided I could spend the rest of my life with because she was pretty and smart.
Took years for her to become "the one", and she remains it to this day. |
I was six; he was three or four days old. As soon as his mother put him in my arms, I knew I wanted him, I just wasn't quite clear what I wanted him for. We married - second time for both of us - 44 years later.

met the "first one" when I was 14, started dating at 18, married at 23. After 20 years together (16 married) she decided she needed a new one.
My "best one" came along shortly after at 39, and we have been together for 7 years, and have an awesome son together. Our 7th anniversary is coming up. Hope to make it many many more. |
