Does such a beast exist, other than sweaters? I need to have the best access to my concealed carry weapon at all times while in the office.

Charlie Sheen style bowling shirts. Hawaiian shirts. Kirta, Kirti, Sherwani, Dashiki...............
|
|
Don't think any really exist....I take it it's not feasible to wear a sport coat all day in the office...
That leaves you with an ankle holster or pocket carry... If you go with a tuckable holster setup, I'm not sure it'll be faster to draw from that than it would be an ankle holster to be honest...and plus talk about telegraphing your move... |
|
Pocket carry.
Or you could carry in a shoulder holster. But you would need to rip your shirt open superman style to get to it. Carrying in business casual sucks. |
|
|
You could wear the 1/4 zip over a dress shirt, but that wouldn't be very handy in the summer. That is when you will find it more challenging.

Just make sure it's not too tight and use darker colors. Another option during the winter months and into spring is to use a vest which is what I used more often. |

Isn't there a Hindu or Muslim shirt dress you could wear?
I like the Chuck Finnley style but thats only appropriate in FL. |

IMO, the only way to make that kind of overshirt work is appendix carry [edit: or belly band] for carry in casual business environments, i prefer relaxed-fit sports coats. my go-to is a sand-colored linen coat that isn't too hot, is comfortable to move around in, and keeps everything nicely covered. |

What wrong with like a short sleeved polo? Nothing. Only old farts tuck in polos. Business casual would be tucked... You don't tuck in a polo. Ehh, maybe not to do out to dinner or something, but for business casual it should be, also jeans aren't business casual, doesn't matter if they are a $200 pair or a pair of $10 Walmart specials. Going by your standard just wear a button up shirt tucked in, no tie, top button undone. It will look more professional than an untucked polo, if it's long sleeved you can even get away with rolling the sleeves. |

Business casual and "need to have the best access to my concealed carry weapon at all times while in the office" are a bit of a contradiction. And yes, business casual is tucked in. |

All that being said it depends on the dress code at your place of employment. Sme places have a much more relaxed view of business casual that includes employees being allowed to wear jeans...at that point an untucked shirt is ok |

Tee shirt relevant to job (company logo, or Hank Hill if you work at a propane store, or Milton with a red stapler if you work in an office, etc.) under a casual sport coat (maybe something like denim, light linen, etc.). I think it looks nicer than a polo. Of course, for me the question is... academic. Because I work in a school. Neither business casual nor guns. |

Depend on the style of shirt. If it has a straight cut/seem across the bottom that is made to hang and meant to tuck in.. there you go

Buy a corduroy blazer in a traditional (not skinny/metro) cut. Or maybe a Duluth Trading Company presentation jacket.

Business casual would be a tucked in shirt. View Quote My company defines it as "khaki/Dickie's pants or nicer and an ironed shirt with a collar and buttons" or there-abouts. I wear Dickie's and nicer bowling shirts (think Charlie Sheen), untucked, everyday at work and it passes with ALL of my supervisors, including my supervising client. ETA: and really THAT'S what it boils down to. We can debate the definition of "business casual" all day long. The only meaningful answer is "what can I get away with at my SPECIFIC place of employment?" |

The SuperTuck holster works ok with a tucked in shirt, as long as the shirt is heavier fabric and a darker color. The V-Clips with a velcro-lined belt are very low profile. I would use that rig to carry in casinos in Vegas when dressing up a bit and had zero problems.

Business casual: has become one of the most fascinating terms to hit the American lexicon.
One mans "take off your tie and jacket" has become another's "show up like you are at the beach." It is therefore hard to say. Is a tuckable holster out of the question? Or, are you one of those guys who is trying to conceal a full-sized pistol? |
|
OP, do you carry an attache or leather portfolio with you that could conceal?
I've gone this route, just don't leave it unattended! |

When JP Morgan Chase went to "Casual Fridays" they hired an old haberdasher to come in an teach the youngsters.
The standard he laid down was simple; nothing out of the dryer; it had to come from the dry cleaners, just like Monday through Thursday. AND it is not an opportunity to express yourself. |
