I'll put my answers down later. I just woke up. I know it's lame, but I keep a dream journal so I don't forget them.
So what are yours? |

When I was young I had a recurring nightmare after watching Childs Play the first time.
In my dream, Chucky was chasing me through a warehouse. He cuts off my arm and almost has me. The only way I can think of killing him is burning down the warehouse so I set it on fire. I then wake up and am in my room. I look across the room and in the mirror I see Chucky's face. That is when I actually wake up. I had that dream probably 3-4 times before I stopped having it. |

There was a dream I had many years ago. It was very vivid and I remember it clearly still.
In the dream, I was in a movie theater all alone. No movie is playing but the screen is illuminated quite brightly. Some sort of large creature enters the theater, but I don't get a good look at it. I go to hide underneath the row seating and I can hear it's heavy foot steps. It is looking for me. That is when I can hear my own pulse loudly, so I decided to hold my breath in hopes it won't hear me. I then woke up out of breath. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I literally just woke up from a dream I had a Mac 10 in 9mm and it was jamming every other round, and found some kind of lube
and was able to shoot several rounds in a row. In my dream when I took it apart it had what looked like toilet flow valves etc. inside ***I have never even touched a mac 10 in my life (TWILIGHT ZONE MUSIC) |

When I was a kid I used to have a reoccuring dream that I had an older brother who would come hang out with me and be my friend and whatnot. It always culminated with me asking what happened to him and him getting visibly angry and losing control, then I would wake up.
Shit became a little wierd a few years later once I found out I had an older brother that passed before me. |

Here's one of the answers I had for this thread.
I was walking around this city, where there was no people. The sky was orange. I realized it was a dream. So my immediate reaction to that was... well if it's my dream, there's anything I want here, right? I immediately tried to spawn cigarettes (I don't smoke). None appeared. How about a gun? Nothing. A hot chick? Nope. So I kept walking until I came across this vacant mall like-ish structure, with an escalator going down, and at the bottom there was this group of black dudes, and I remember one of 'em having white dreads. They seemed friendly so I went over. For whatever reason the dream skips to where I'm in this super large warehouse type store hanging out with these people who're supposed to be my friends. All women. And I stop in one of these isles to talk to this girl with her dad (who looks identical to Lil Wayne, and the chick is white, by the way with blonde hair in a bun, and wearing a black hoodie) him and I have a brief conversation where he asks me "You have a heavy conscience, don't you?" and I answer "I... uh... I guess so..." And the girl who's supposed to be his daughter I think joins us. We're running around this giant store/warehouse place fucking around and I trip over this super large bundle of shoelaces. And when I get up, I start freaking out. I tell them that when I wake up, they're all going to die. And none of them get it. Except the girl who's dad asked if I had a heavy conscience. I keep telling them, and they're just not understanding. But she does, and she's not scared. Everything goes dark, except for her (everything has a blue hue now) and she hugs me and says "Just be honest with yourself." And I woke up shaking. I had that dream in January 2013, and I remember it as vividly as if it happened 30 minutes ago. |

Here's the dream I just had that made me start this thread:
I was in a different college with different friends. But I was me. I remember flashes of memories where I'm driving with my friends (from this dream's college) in this beat up 50/60's rust colored convertible in a desert. But it's only 70 degrees, and comfortable. In this college I'm walking around, and I go in the basement, where my friends are. And we start writing music. I realize that I'm in some shitty (I mean that in the best way) industrial band, and I'm juggling all these music notes (as in paper), and trying to put together a song. And in my head, I'm having all these visions of a Nazi buying slaves from these native Americans, so they can learn how they treat slaves or some shit. I have no idea what relation it had to the rest of my dream, but I ended up writing this really dark/surrealish song about it in this dream. I remember us driving across the country, and I have this girlfriend in this dream with pale skin and short black hair. She wears a spiked dog collar like a dog, and a black tank top. I think she's a few years older than me. (I'm 20.) Red lipstick, and she's hot as fuck. I don't remember any tattoos though, so . But we're all driving around aimlessly, and I feel freer than I've ever felt.
Then I woke up wishing I hadn't. I also remember a teacher that I actually have in real life, giving us some quiz or some shit in this basement, but I don't remember what quiz it was, or what relevance it had to the rest of the dream, other than the quiz not being in the subject that this teacher teaches in real life. |

I had this dream about 10 years ago: I'm at home when the alarm to my truck goes off in the driveway, I grab my Mossberg 500 and step out the front door to see this young hispanic kid getting out of my truck with my radio in one hand and a revolver in another. He points the revolver at me and I put one round of 00 buck into him and he goes down. (This is where it gets weird) Across the street is this generic 64 Impala low rider full of thugs who start to point guns at me, I unload the shotgun into the car and as I'm doing this I get a view of inside the car as if there's a camera on the hood looking in so I'm watching the car and it's occupants getting shot from my shotgun. Shotgun goes dry so I close the door, drop it and notice another thug walk past my back door and into my backyard (this was before I had dogs) at that point I run to the safe and wake up. I also have had another dream where I'm in the zombie apocalypse with a single stack pistol, I remember damning the pistol since I was having to reload every 8 rounds ![]() |

I have very vivid dreams to begin with. I remember dreams I had when I was only five or so. I had the following dream maybe six years ago.
The setting was at the edge of a very rocky cliff overlooking the sea. The ground was covered in lush grass, the sun was just beginning to set off the horizon, clouds full of oranges, reds, yellows, and purples. I can smell the ocean in the warm air, hear the water crashing against the rocks below as the waves roll in. It was by all standards a remarkable, beautiful evening. Overlooking the cliff was a simple park bench. Seated at the bench was a much older version of myself - maybe mid-to-late 40s. There's some grey in his hair at the temples and his face has aged compared to mine. As I approached the bench my older self turned to look at me and smiled, as if he had been waiting and expected me. He calmly states in a warm tone that "everything is going to be OK. It all turns out alright" We both turn back to look at the sea. That's the end of the dream. |

Once a month I have a recurring dream about my job. Sometimes the details are a little bit different but it always starts with HR firing me. When I call they tell me that I'm being terminated for fraud and saying I have a Master's degree.
When I call the school to clear it up, the details change but it's always that the school has revoked my degree for some very minor transgression. Sometimes it's a parking ticket, sometimes it's for not turning in a paper in a class and the teacher is just now notifying them that I have a DNC for the class. However, it's always unresolvable and the script starts to read like Catch 22. "Well, then let me pay the ticket." "You can't pay the ticket because it's past the statute of limitations and it's no longer officially on your record." "Okay, then reinstate my Master's degree." "We can't give you your degree because you have a parking ticket." I started practicing lucid dreaming years ago. When I first started, everytime my mind became aware to the fact that I was in a dream, the scenery would dissolve until I was in a mansion at night. The scene was made to be scary, but in the dream I just wasn't scared. I could also sense a larger "force" watching me. The force wasn't good or evil, but very apathetic to my presence until I start questioning it out loud. Then sometimes it was very pleased with the fact that I could sense it's presence and sometimes very angry. In either case, the "force" doesn't want to let me leave the mansion. It took a while but I finally realized the "force" had no power and I could just walk out the front door. When I walked out the front door I was returned to the original dream. You reminded me about keeping a dream journal. I've been wanting to get back in that habit, but now when I wake up it's a mad scramble of kids and getting ready for work. |

I didn't find out until I was 19 that I was supposed to have a twin, the other baby didn't develop right. |

This reoccurring dream only started when I moved here to my farm-
- Construction/highway crew doing backhoe or dozer work start digging up dead female bodies that I've murdered and buried here on the farm (no, I've never killed anyone) I felt guilt only because I was caught Actually takes a minute or two of being awake to realize it's just a nightmare I think it's related to the enormous and unfinished work that needs to be done I haven't had a similar dream like that since I've finally remodeled my barn that was literally falling down But I still need dozer work to control some severe erosion problems I have Or it could be because there are actually dead females killed and buried here by the creepy old guy that I bought the farm from They're calling out from the grave |

When I was younger I had a dream where I was walking along a road. I knew where I was, but everything wasn't as it should have been. Grass and other plants have grown everywhere, some plants that looked like they should have been in a jungle even. The buildings were decaying, but still recognizable. There were no people, and seemed that there had not been any people for quite some time. Suddenly, there is a semi truck rumbling down the road, towing a flatbed trailer. Upon the trailer is some kind of huge device, made of many immense discs. The semi pulls up next to me and stops, and several men climb out. They are all either wearing white lab coats, or radiation suits. They tell me they need to check on the device, and they'll only be a moment. I watch as one of the men in a radiation suit climbs onto the flat bed and picks up a huge disc with one hand. This disc must be 6 feet across, but he lifts it easily with one hand. Suddenly, one of the men in lab coats is grabbed by something that snatches him straight up into a tree overhead, and I hear him screaming. I look to the other side of the road and see the jungle vegetation rustle, as if something is moving within it. A humanoid shape, that I can only see a blurry outline, but is otherwise invisible, steps through the vegetation and runs straight at me. It hits me in the chest and I go down, with the invisible creature is on top of me and I'm fighting frantically, but I can't seem to get a hold of it to get it off me.
I then woke up sweating intensely, heart pounding in the dark. When the same invisible creature grabs me and snatches me out of my bed. I fight even harder knowing that this time, it isn't a dream and I won't wake up if it kills me. Even with my best efforts, it is easily overpowering me and I can't get away from it. I know I'm going to die. I then wake up on the floor of the bedroom, completely wrapped in my sweat-soaked blankets and struggling frantically to get out of them. |

I occasionally have dreams that feature a friend who committed suicide in high school. I haven't seen him in fifteen years and don't think of him that often, but for some reason I still have dreams where we are just doing random stuff. I don't know what they're all about, but they usually haunt me for the better part of the day.
I've been having some fairly odd dreams as of late but don't have the time to type them out at the moment. Tag. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Another dream I had when I was younger:
I'm standing outside next to a Toyota 4Runner, staring up at gray and black storm clouds overhead. The wind is starting to pick up, with the occasional heavy gust. I slowly turn around, still looking at the sky and see an immense tornado in the distance. Bigger than any tornado I've ever seen footage of. It is slowly, but surely, headed in my direction. I turn back around and yell toward a nearby house that they had better hurry up. Two men and two women, one of whom is carrying a small child, hurry out of the house and pile into the 4Runner. I climb in and tear ass down the road, headed toward the port, which has huge concrete grain silos. I pull into the gravel area outside of the silo entrance and everyone jumps out and starts running toward the huge door, which is already starting to be slid shut by men on the inside. I know the tornado is nearly upon me, and I'm running along with the people I was sent to save. I hear a yell behind me and someone crying. I turn around to see the tornado is tearing up everything only a short distance away, and the child that the woman was carrying is laying on the ground. She's terrified and is crying for me to help her. I know that it is unlikely I can make it to the safety of the grain silos if I go back, but I turn around anyway and run back to the girl. I snatch her into my arms and turn back to the silo, running as hard as I have in my life trying to make it. I stare into the terrified eyes of the men still sliding the huge door shut. I know that I'm not going to make it, I hug the little girl tighter and keep running as I feel the winds of the tornado beginning to overtake us. I clamp my eyes shut, knowing that we are both going to die, but that I did the right thing. The girl won't have to die alone. I feel myself picked up into the air, still hugging the little girl, and all goes black. I open my eyes to sunshine flowing in the window next to my bed, feeling at peace with the world. |

Quoted: The ones where the departed stop by to say hi......... There is something a little more vivid and striking about them. They tend to vibrate your core through the rest of the waking day. OMG yes, I had a good friend pass back in 01 and the night of his funeral I woke up and I swear that he was in the room with me, it didn't scare me but it made me think a lot about him and the good times that we had. |

Being trapped in a housefire in the second floor of my house, legs are not working and I am crawling using my hands and arms only when the floor beneath me gives way and I fall into the inferno downstairs.
The worst was a dream with recurring elements that I had while in college. I am not sure if it was sleep paralysis or not, I think my eyes were closed but I could somehow see everything in the room. There was this badly burned female walking around, skin charred black as coal and lips/facial tissue completely burned away. I'd see her/it immediately before waking. One night I had a little beer to drink and fell asleep on the couch as usual after doing some workouts. I awaken at around 0400, and the room is filled with a dense black fog. The TV is on but the room is...foggy. I can't move my legs or arms, but can wiggle my feet and move my head...I feel like I am in four point restraints. I can take shallow breaths, and I remember reading about sleep paralysis. Roll my head to my right and BAM this burned corpse is staring into my eyes with black eyes. The glow of the TV hit its face and I could see the teeth. I start to wiggle my foot back and fourth as I hear one of my roommates screaming into my right ear to "WAKE UP, YOU HAVE TO WAKE UP". Suddenly everything seems to go dark and the room appears before me. I stand up and walk around, walking to my roommates room first. He is fast asleep. The TV is on just as it was in the dream, the empty beer bottles are where I left them. One thing I remember is my heart rate was VERY low when I woke up. |

Not reoccurring but when I was in 7th grade I had a nightmare I was on a train that never stopped. People were laying their necks on the tracks... never ending train ride whacking peoples heads off!! I didn't sleep well for a few nights after that.
What really freaked me out was when I was a Sophomore I was in the wrestling coaches office and picked up the latest Sports Illustrated to read about a NCAA wrestler from Iowa. In the article he stated he had the same dream. I don't remember why they asked him about his dreams. |

When I was very small I had a recurring dream that two puppets would come and torment me at night. One was a clown and the other one was a guy in a top hat with a mustache and black jacket. They would appear between my bed and the wall and the one in the top hat would hit my hand with a whip while the clown tried to steal my toys I had in the bed. They were about the size of a squirrel. I was in a crib I was so small and I can remember tugging on my toys trying to keep them from getting them while the guy beat my hand and taunted me. I hated those guys. If I screamed and my parents came they would run away. It has been a very long time but I still remember that.
One time I had a dream that I woke up sitting in a desert in my underwear. I had no idea where I was, what I was doing, or why I wasn't dressed. I was trying to sort that out when a little guy about three feet tall appeared. He had on one of those joker hats like the joker from a deck of cards. He laughed at me, pulled out a long barreled handgun, and cranked a round at me. I took off running. He was chasing me. I was running and out running him but he was persistent. At one point I went up a rise and looked back and there his little ass was still on my trail with that Dirty Harry special. I looked down and there was a mini 14 laying on the ground. I was very happy. I picked it up and made it ready to fire. I proned out and was letting him come as close as he wanted for an easy shot. When I dropped the hammer on him the gun would not fire. Now he was on me. I was pissed. I thought I will beat him to death with this rifle. He still had the pistol though. I was closing with him and when I did he picked me up with one hand and threw me like a baseball. I was flying through the air and landed in my bed. I looked at the wall and it was open and smoke was coming out of it. I watched it slam shut. I had to get up and walk around for a while. It was crazy. |

This dream spooked me so bad I wrote it down...
I'm driving my car fast down a narrow dirt road in the Bayou (I've never been there). It keeps getting bumpier and darker and swamping to the point where I stop the car and pull over. I turn off the car but leave the headlights on, and walk to the edge of the road for a look, but trip at the edge and fall forward face first into the swamp. My keys go flying into the water. So I'm laying at the bank in push-up position and as I look up my headlights illuminate a snake right in front of my face. It's black, yellow and white stripes glisten vividly. I push myself up as quickly as possible, and the snake lunges at me so I swat it out of my face with my right hand. It bites my hand and disappears into the swamp. The rest of the dream got really weird but the interesting thing was that the snakebite venom was progressively deteriorating my state of mind and mobility throughout the dream as I went on to seek help. I was dying, slowly. When I awoke Inwas gasping for breath--allergies had closed my nasal passage and I was literally suffocating I think, or at least I was not getting sufficient oxygen like with sleep apnea. EDIT: Oh yea, forgot the spookiest part! The very next day the movie "Venom" was on and it freaked me out because the roads were just like in my dream. I also googled the coral snake and found out that it really lives in Louisianna. I never knew that! Coincidence? |

There was a man who was like a second father to me. He was killed by a drunk driver in a head on collision on the Interstate.
A couple of years later The phone rings and he is on the other end. He tells me that he is at a local diner and to meet him there as he has something to tell me. I arrive and he is sitting in the booth. He smiles, gets up, speaks my name, and extends his hand for me in greeting. I reach out to shake his hand I woke up right at that moment. |
| OK, during Desert Storm, laying on a cot catching a few Zs. Death, yes him, Death shows over me at the head of my cot. Skull face, garb on, sickle in hand. His skeletal arms reach out, his skeletal hands grab mine, as my arms were above my head. As soon as Death touches my hands, my skin and flesh disappear, and all I see is bone. As he is holding my hands, the flesh and muscle keeps disappearing from my arms until the point it gets to my elbows. I wake up, sit up, in a panic...............and that is all........nothing bad happened to me or anyone I care about. Just weird and very surreal. |

My first sleep study, where I was fitted for a CPAP and received my first good night's sleep in a long time.
I dreamed my brother in law and his wife kidnapped me by trapping my legs between the back two rows of a minivan (old-school '80s era Caravan), I pulled out my 1911 and was blasting holes through the windshield but never managed to hit either one of them in the front row as they drove me around town. Another time (soon after getting my CPAP) I had an incredibly vivid dream that I was flying around the San Fransisco Bay area in a high performance jet trainer, I popped up over a hill, got a great view of the city and the bridge, and immediately had to eject because the engine shit the bed and we were going in. The only reason I managed to convince myself that it didn't happen? The jet had three ejection seats and I couldn't think of any aircraft that fit that description. Yeah. Sleep apnea gives you some fucked up dreams when you finally get some REM sleep. Kharn |
| I've the same dream, 3 or 4 times a year since I was 13 or so. I'm 42 now. Involves me and a bunch of buddies being in a field hanging out and this huge ufo comes down and tilts around, then all of these other little ufos show up screaming around. It always fades off and I wake up. It's exactly the same everytime. |

About six months after my mom passed away last year
I had a dream. I was walking in a busy corridor with people moving in both directions. Against the walls on both sides people stood against them to be out of the way of foot traffic. I looked up and saw my mom, not really younger but well dressed and healthy looking. "Mom!" I exclaimed She walked up to me and said " I can't stay long but I wanted to thank you for all you did for me" As she said this she handed me a clear marble wrapped like a butter scotch candy I looked down at it and when I glanced back up and she was heading around the corner to be lost in the crowd. Before she hit the corner I shouted out " what's it like ?" - meaning heaven, death, afterlife etc She hestitated and with a look I remember as deciding to how to phrase it nicely - said "it's ok" And then she was gone. I woke up crying. I have never had a dream as real as that and prior to that dream I would have scoffed internally had someone related the same dream. I really believe it was my mom - on her death bed while she was lucid I asked her to give me a sign if possible that she was ok I believe that dream was her letting me know she was ok and to thank me again for taking her in when her health and finances required her to move in my home |

One very vivid childhood dream has stayed with me for better than 50 years now... ...in the dream, I'm standing in front of a woman I didn't know. Her eyes are locked onto mine, and I can't break my eyes away from hers. There's a crackling sound, and her hair began to burn. She began screaming and whipping her blazing hair around, but her eyes never left mine. The fire spreads with phenomenal speed, and soon everything is burning. The dream ends with a vision of blue eyes set in an inferno...and me waking up screaming about fire and scaring the living hell out of my mother. It's most likely just a coincidence that a woman died in a house fire that night on the other side of town. Just a coincidence. |

I had this dream many, many times several years ago.
I am former LEO, and saw typical bad things. The dream always starts with me doing radar at the edge of town. Radio comes to life with a 911 call for "man down". I respond, and sure enough, some poor guy is face down in a pool of his own blood, obviously from multiple GSWs I vividly remember putting my gloves on, and gently turning the body over. And its me laying there. I'm looking into my own dead eyes. I haven't had this dream for years now, and hope I never do again. |

I am in what appears to be a very large church. Gunmen have chased us into the congregation hall and are forcing us to lie down with our heads partially under the pew in front of us. There are literally too many gunmen to count. They begin shooting us and it hurts so bad I want to scream, but I don't want to bring any attention to myself. The guy next to me is large and has fallen partially onto me. I play dead. I'm shot in my flank area. I don't know how many times or where exactly.
I eventually lose consciousness. I awaken to the sounds of gunfire and children screaming. They're in the nursery/sunday school now. I need to make it to my kids and I am in such pain each movement hurts. I am unarmed. I keep feeling for my carry piece but it isn't there. I know I have a gun in my truck. Do I go for that or do I go for my children? What good will my revolver be against all those gunmen. It has five bullets. Only five. No more. I always wake up in the foyer area of the church trying to decide if I go to my kids or out to the parking lot for my gun. I never get past that point in the dream. I have noticed that this dream happens before a large mass casualty situation makes headlines. It really does. My wife swears it's a premonition. I'll have it and a plane will crash or disappear or some nut will kill his family and himself or shoot up his workplace. I had the dream last night/today. I won't be surprised to hear about something tragic happening soon. :/ |
