If they won’t stop throwing away printed money the only way to control inflation is with a recession even if they call it something else.
Almost time for another few billion to the Kraine old Zelenski is probably starting feeling withdrawals by this week. |

Come on man Q1 was -1.6% and Q2 was -0.9% GDP.
This means the economy is contracting less and has turned the corner already. It's not sustained negative growth if it's less negative. Historic low unemployment also means less people are looking for a job since they are now rich enough to retire at 24 and leave the workforce to live in moms basement. Spending trillions with the Inflation Reduction Act 2022 bill will solve everything. Also Putin and the GOP's fault. |

It's not a recession...you see first quarter was -1.6 and now we are -.9 so we are heading in the right direction. In no way is that a recession if things are getting better.

View Quote So, we will get HIGH interest rates and HIGH prices on everything via inflation, and nothing gets fixed, just kicks the can with us citizens suffering, while wealthy politicians print, spend and embezzle public funds via their endless kickback schemes that also fuck us over too. Actually Fixing the problems requires the following. 1. Gov stop spending immediately, AND not just cutting the extra spending, but also cutting it’s normal budget and all agency budgets massively, big layoffs of gov employees from all agencies, cutting all programs, ( welfare etc ) pet projects, etc across the board as well. 2. Raise interest rates, maybe raise taxes too. 3. Cut regs, roll back the epa, etc and get government away from business and let them free to do their thing. Doing those things for about a decade would suck, but would do great things to fix our spending, debt, inflation problems. They won’t though, because our incompetent politicians only know how to ADD government interference, they are incapable of rolling back gov meddling, or getting out of the way, they also only know how to do 2 things policy wise. 1. Ban shit / create laws punishing shit they don’t like. 2. Bribe / give away money Zero ability to do anything creative. So, we’re fucked. It’s going to be MORE debt, high interest rates, high taxes, high prices on everything, and even more gov regs fucking businesses left and right, fucking citizens left and right, etc. |

Wait until they release the revised GPD number in a few months. If it follows trends from the Obama years the drop in GDP will get bigger. They always try to get it out of the news cycle.

I guarantee that by the end of next week Twitter, Facebook et all will censor the current definition of recession, and that online dictionaries will change the definition of recession as well. Also anyone declaring that we are in a recession will be censored for spreading misinformation on those platforms.

I don't know. Since Bezos has started to break from the Dems a bit, and Elon's Twitter move, the Dem lock on social media may not allow them to control the narrative as much this time around.
Will be interesting to see what the platforms do. My guess is that they would moderate for a Desantis ticket. I still think Elon will own Twitter, or start his own. |
