"Investigators said they believed Rivera had lived in the area from four to seven years.

In a statement late Tuesday, Yarrabee Farms said Rivera had worked at its farms for the last four years and was an employee in good standing. The Brooklyn-based company said it was shocked to hear that Rivera was charged in Tibbetts' death. Yarrabee Farms is owned by the family of Craig Lang, a prominent Republican who previously served as president of the Iowa Farm Bureau."

The employer claims that Rivera was vetted by E-Verify. If that is true then it means the Federal government either set up the system to ignore undocumented people OR he used fraudulent papers and the employer did not press the issue.  Either way, our system is totally f__cked up. It's bad enough with our own homegrown felons without having to import them too.

Last evening I posted a link asking people to call the Federal Prosecutor for the Southern District of Iowa, and urge an investigation into who hired this guy and seek charges against them. I still think that may be a possibility, he's young, newly appointed to the bench by Trump and I think ambitious. He might want to bite a big fish in the ass for the press......Worth a shot.

The gov is incompetent. My uncles wife is a stay at home mom cause their kid has mental disabilities. She got a letter from the irs to be careful and watch her credit reports cause someone was suspected of using her social for work. Now why should she have to do anything. If they know where that social is being used for work, they should go get that person. Am I right?

Vetting of aliens in this country is a complete fucking sham. If you read Phillip Haney's "See Something, Say Nothing" you will get a good indication on how a single program used to try and identify potential terror threats among alien populations was deliberately destroyed because it couldn't be allowed to be effective. And this was done with the welcomed assistance of islamic groups who, when you dig a little, are peachy keen with terrorism as a tool of bringing the west under Allah's heel.

To believe that the "systems" used on other immigrants are allowed to be any more accurate and effective given the powerful people who want the state of affairs we have currently would be foolhardy.
