Did he just say he is putting the military on the border he said he has to talk to mattis

I dream of a wall made out of A10s, and Apache helicopters in the air, Abrams on the ground, and land mines below the soil.

Is this gleaned from a tweet or a comment from him or some tea leaves interpretation?

I have been saying he should move the military bases and manuevers to the Mexican border.
It wont happen. |

We've spent so long defending other people and their stuff that we've forgotten that the primary job of a military is to defend your own borders.

In the past 1,500 random people stepping over your border was cause for military action. Should be today as well.

Daily Caller
President Donald Trump said Tuesday that the U.S. military will be used to guard the U.S.-Mexico border.
“We are going to be guarding our border with our military. That’s a big step,” Trump told Reporters gathered at the White House. “We cannot have people flowing into our country illegally, disappearing, and by the way never showing up for court.” The President’s comments appear to take aim at current U.S. policy which requires border agents to catch then release family units who arrive at the borer from noncontiguous countries. 1/4 mile deep border length of land mines and razor wire with Mexican signs saying "keep out" might take care of the issue all by itself.
But I guess that's to inhumane... |

Don't National Guard units routinely go the the border without weapons and do nothing?
Unless he deploys Marines with loaded weapons it means nothing. |

Cool. Then gradually move the border further south. To the far side of the Panama Canal.

In before the nevertrumpers complain that Trump is violating the Posse Comitatus Act by doing this.

Say Trump does place the military at the border for defense.
What would realistically happen if groups of civillians show up as reinforcement, well armed and outfitted with their finest SHTF battle gear? Would they be welcomed and coordinated into our defense? Or would they get arrested/shot/laughed at/etc...? Asking because you just know some people will try it. |

Praise The Lord and pass the rubber bullets, tear gas, and bean bag rounds.

The only reason the military has not been back on the boarder, is that last time they were, a USMC shot and killed a illgeal kid crossing the border in the late. 80's or early 90's. Sorry no internet links back then.

He also said he had spoken with Secretary of Defense James Mattis about the use of the military to guard the border. In recent days, Trump has repeatedly tweeted about a caravan of illegal immigrants making their way from Honduras to the US border via Mexico. The President had threatened to end the NAFTA agreement if the Mexican government did not stop the caravan. Mexican authorities responded to Trump’s Sunday threat to kill NAFTA by pledging to disband the caravan and allow some transmitters to apply for asylum in Mexico. The organizers, however, said many members of the group will continue marching north towards the US-Mexico border where, if they claim asylum and are with a family unit, they legally must be released into the interior of the country. |
