When the plainclothes cops confronted him, he reached for his weapon, police said.

That gun looks like it holds more than 7 rounds. The streets are a little SAFEr today than they were yesterday.

Not the usual hood. Should be interesting to see his arrest record. Guessing he was drunk.

http://abc7ny.com/news/man-killed-in-police-involved-shooting-in-south-ozone-park/1295629/

According to a relative, the victim is 32-year-old George Tillman, a licensed electrician and father of five from Maryland.

He was in town for a family birthday party and was getting into a car with his wife and cousin when family members say officers pulled up.

The family members said Tillman began to run when he was shot.

"He was a working young man and a Christian. A good father and he loved life," said the victim's uncle Anthony Tillman. "A licensed electrician, a good man

So why did he run from the cops if he was such a good guy?  If he ran from the cops because he knew having the gun was illegal, why didn't he leave it at home if he's again, such a damn good, Christian guy?  Why would he risk his life and his family over having a gun at a birthday party?

Fuck NY and their unconstitutional laws, but something's fucky here.

When we went to my niece's wedding I left all my freedom at home. We spent as little time and money in that state as possible.
Wasn't the city, though, fuck that place.

The guys I worked with that had electrical licenses were guys that nobody fucked with. You can make upwards of $300K/yr, when I worked in NYC we could only buy electrical supplies from union shops, I think it was Local 3

Don't NYPD plainclothes "bulls" look so much like thugs other NYPD officers routinely shoot them by accident?

Yes, I would.  I don't take guns into Mexico when I'm traveling there either, would you?  I mean, because laws, right?

The dead guy should be a screaming example of why you don't do it.  Having a run in with the local constabulary is probably as bad as having a run in with a criminal and probably far more likely.  Even if they hadn't have shot him his life would be fucked up for years.  Is it worth it to go to a fucking birthday party?

If you can't or won't obey the law and don't want to be a criminal, then don't go there.  And if you live there either get the law changed or move.  And if you're willing to be a criminal, don't be shocked when you have to do criminal stuff.

I hate unconstitutional laws as much as you do, but I have to live in the real world, not in the Arfcom world.

Extorris can probably tell you stories of black and Hispanic bulls getting shot or almost getting shot. I saw bulls from a mile away, after a while you knew the look, the walk, something about them that they did not belong.  Just like you can spot drug dealers and drug abusers

1) They just happened to pick the one guy walking to his car who had a gun...

2) They bum rushed everyone on the street until they found what they wanted...

3) They had specific information that put them on that street, at the same time a guy with a gun was leaving the area...

You mean kind of like how in the GRAN TORINO movie, which is supposed to be set in Detroit, the gangs were Asian?

Because Detroit has such a big problem with Asian gangs of course?

I can honestly say I have never seen an Asian person within Detroit city limits, other than at the casinos or at entertainment events downtown. It would not surprise me if there were not a single Asian actually living within the city limits.
