Apparently Colt has finally told ATF that having the protected firing pin and the M16 carrier are not in violation of federal law regarding machine guns. ATF says it may or may not be a violation and I hear Colt attorneys have told ATF that if they can't difinitavely say isn't a violation then back off. I also heard that Colt has gone back to using the M16 carrier as of the first of this year.
Like COLT IS GOING TO TELL THE BATF WHATS UP.........oN PG 115 IN THE BATF FEDERAL
FIREARMS REGULATIONS, CLEARLY STATES THAT ANY ONE OR MORE THAN ON E M-16 PART IN YOUR AR IS A MACHINE GUN. IT EVEN SAYS CARRIER, WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW IS, YOU TAKE THE DISCONNECTOR OUT OF THE TRIGGER OF YOUR AR & YOU CAN GET THE WEAPON TO FIRE TWO
