Early 5 digit, 11/17 built Winchester M1917 for trade. It has the original 10/17 dated barrel and W stock. Most small parts are E marked. Keefer 8620 bolt. The stock has arsenal stamps from Anniston & Augusta. It has the circle-star stamped receiver. The barrel is in very good condition with slight darkening in a portion of the grooves. Lands are sharp and clean with no pitting in the barrel. This rifle is an excellent shooter! Banging the 6 inch plate at 200 is easy! 300?...well some days it's easy, some not so much. My eyes aren't as good as they used to be. The front sight is .090 and hits to POA at 100.
The rifle comes with a matching Winchester bayonet that I purchase off this forum. It was parked after being sharpened and has remnants of brown paint on the handle, along with a P14 scabbard. My best guess from what I've read is that it was a lend-lease bayo. Very good condition.
I can include 40 rounds of St. Louis Ord. M2 AP on strippers, non-corrosive '55 date. I have 20 strippers.
I'm looking for a AR for my girlfriend. She's a keeper but my rifles beat her up too much. I might put it up for sale later but mainly interested in trades for now.
I can get more pics with a little time. FTF in NW PA is preferred but shipping is possible. Message or email for offers and questions please.
