I bought this new a few years back. Mine shoots great with the right mags. I liked it so much I decided to SBR it. Got my Form 1 back and removed the factory barrel extension. Shot it a bit more...then it sat in the safe for a while. My whole HK clone phase ended simply by losing interest. I sold the others I had and tried to sell this one briefly as an SBR.....not alot of interest due to the transfer fees, etc....So I permanently attached a Vector barrel extension back on and got the approval letter from the ATF that is has been (in essence) removed from the NFA registry. So I can now sell it to anyone without NFA fees and restrictions...I told you there was a story
It has the vector extension with a short sleeve added on the barrel. The sleeve was added because the OD of the extension and the OD of the barrel were different sizes and I thought this looked better. There is a pin through the sleeve, the extension and into a blind hole in the barrel...then welded over. The weld looks better in person then it does in the pic. My name/location is engraved on the side of the magwell. I went over the immediate area with a few coats of Alumihide II and tried to soften the edges where I had masked off...it looks pretty good, but you could certainly touch that up if you feel it needs it. I also used Alumihide II on the weld area.
It is 7.62 x 39 and uses AK mags. I guarantee function with the 4 steel romanian (??) 30rd mags and Wolf FMJs....it doesn't like HPs....that's all I've ran through it, it may like other ammo...Wolf is what I always have.
It is in overall great condition except for the marks where the cocking handle hit/rub on the cocking tube...this is normal on this style of gun. The cocking tube is off center at the front sight/tripple ring, but that is just cosmetic and somewhat typical of the clones.
It comes with the OD grip frame (USA), Black and OD green stocks (Early SW and current SW...both USA) and a black forearm (USA). I am also including a black plastic clipped and pinned grip frame (as shown in pic) but it isn't USA, I think it's POF or other. It comes with the 4-30rd steel mags (that work perfect) a USA 30rd poly mag and a Bulgy waffle mag. Both the poly mags required "thinning" at the top and don't run for shit, but they go with the gun...use them for targets if you want..haha. It also has a Bill Springfield trigger job.
Almost forgot....the OD stock has a scratched up area about the size of a postage stamp on the side near the rear...looks like someone tried to remove a sticker or something. I bought the OD stuff used to make sure I got the parts count back to normal. When it was an SBR it didn't matter. All internal USA parts were left untouched.
I haven't shot it yet with the OD green grip frame in place....it dry fires, but I will shoot it just to make sure.
$1025 NOW $975 shipped from ME to your FFL. I usually ship all the parts via USPS directly to you, and then the barreled receiver to your FFL holder.
Money order only on this one...maybe partial paypal if you wish...add 3.5%SOLD TO CQBvoodoo...THANK YOU!
Sorry for the long read, but I don't like to leave anything out.
Added: It has about 800-100 rounds through it...I also consider it to be quite accurate, as carbines go. I can put togather baseball size groups at 25-35 yards from a standing position...that's pretty good for me anywayAdded 1-4-07: It's going to the local gun show with me this weekend...there is a 95% chance that it will come right back with me due to no interesting trades, but you never know
IM or e-mail me......thanks!
