I'm needing to free up a little funds and thinking about selling my Sig 556. I bought the rifle brand new about 2 1/2 years ago, went back to school, and have barely fired it since. It is nothing more than a safe queen with only one trip to the range and two trips to my back yard on it. The rifle has a round count of less than 200 rounds. This last summer I decided to fix it up a little and added a Troy BattleRail. Now, I'm needing some funds and going to have to eat a little of what I have into it. The rifle is one of the more desireable older (556 006) models with collapsable stock and flip up sights. Serial number is JS 50XX.Included with the rifle will be the original fishgill handguards and the original front and rear sights (removed since the BattleRail was added). I'll also throw in the Troy/Larue marked front and rear flip up BUIS that I added (the sights alone were $250...the rail was another $325). I'm asking $1700 for the rifle. I don't have pics available right now, but if you're seriously interested PM me and I'll send pics over. Note: I've had no problems with the rifle and can keep 1.5" groups @ 100yd using the CompM4 that is on it now..I know some of the new model "Classic" 556s have shown some serious design problems but this rifle has been problem free for me. From what I've been told this rifle was one of the earliest to be imported to the States.
I'm located in central Michigan near Lansing...I'd much rather do a person to person but will make arrangements for an FFL transfer if need be. Please make sure your transferor will do a transfer from a non-dealer.
