Quieter than the Imbel/Belgian combo device, lighter and more streamlined than the original long Stoll, better looking than the cut off DSA stubby Stoll, cooler and more business like than the long Browning FH.
It's the Bonecrusher Shorty Stoll
It has the smoooth, cool look that every FAL should have on its muzzle. Just the thing for irritating east coast commie pink-o politicians and west coast liberal media types.
The Stolls have a 9/16x24 left-hand thread, just like the original Imbel and STG barrels. There has been a recent post that indicates Imbel barrels are larger than the STG58 or G1 barrel diameter. This is an easy fix, measure the diameter of your barrel a couple inches from the muzzle. If the barrel measures larger than .590 let me know and I’ll send you one that’s the correct size.
Prices as of 9-30-04
Re-parked Shorty and Super Shorty Stolls are $25. The DSA cut off type is $15 and full length Stolls are $12.50. Deduct $5.00 from the posted price for non refinished Stolls.

To install the Shorty or the other Stolls use the flat part of an open end wrench handle or a similarly shaped piece of scrap material. I use an old beat up 3/8ths wrench that fits nice and snug in the forks at the front of the flash hider. On reparked Stolls try wrapping electrical tape around the wrench handle to protect the finish. Turn the FH counterclockwise until snug. At that point back the Stoll off just a little then give it a firm twist tightening it up again. Carefully remove the wrench or whatever tool you're using. If you do mar the finish it'll be inside the tines of the fork and can be touched up with a little cold blue. The little pen type dispensers work great for touch ups like that.
Whatever you do installing the Shorty do not use the rear of the Stoll as a contact surface for installation. That means no clamping a vice, wrench or pliers on the back half of the Shorty. They're put together very well but that kind of stress on the joint could cause separation. Use the front half of the Stoll around the area of the forks, that's where the treads are and where the twisting force of installation should be applied. If anyone needs further information on installation, email me at my contact info above.link to picsmore pics
