One (1) used Armalite SASS barrel and components with custom barrel work. Rifle has had about 300rds total fired in three years of original ownership. With match grade ammo accuracy has been sub MOA. I tore this down from the upper to rebuild it.
Adco cut barrel back to 18" and fluted (6 flutes) under the handguard. I did this to relieve weight when suppressed. The handguard ring had to be cut off at Adco's recommendation to get the upper disassembled. They did a professional job as usual. I replaced the ring and never got around to refinishing it to match. You can see that small line from their cutting tool. It doesn't show when assembled and doesn't affect function at all.
The upper, handguard, and barrel have been finished in Brownells moly-teflon spray-n-bake in a blend of their OD green, Dark Earth and a little Coyote Tan. As tough as the finish is, removing the barrel and gas block for the barrel work has removed some of it in the high areas as well as those areas that saw accessory mounting points like the bipod adapter and front sight, etc. The upper itself also shows wear from a LaRue scope mount.
Other than marks from normal use the only damage can be seen in the zoomed in pics of the barrel. These uppers used to come with a faux AAC suppressor and mount. The mount was on tighter than I thought and the wrench let loose and scratched the barrel. If you look for it you'll see it of course, but it's very minor. To remove it a machinist like Adco could profile it down to remove it.
will get you everything. Don't want to split it up, need the $ to finish the rebuild.
