for those of us in wacky states, we have the task of trying to figure out when guns are manufactured, specifically to find out if it was manufactured prior to October 21, 1998.

i know glock numbers can be checked at a few sites, and HK are easy until you get to the "HI" date code.

is there a lookup for Beretta?
or Magnum Research Desert Eagles?

or do i have to contact the company directly?
