The standard "universal de-capping die," is usually hogged out generously.  The cartridge case doesn't contact the die's walls.   So, ASSUMING that you are using the correct die and have made the adjustments as per the instructions. Only the decapping stem/pin will be doing it's job of de-capping.

So.....you're not suppose to get a stuck case (like you could have, if you were re-sizing/de-capping w/o lube).

Yes, some have had pins get stuck in undersized flash holes.

But, since you said it's happening (like a stuck case in a re-sizing die).   Well, what can I say?  Possible different design?

IF, it were ME........I'd look at the die itself and/or possible re-adjustment of the die and de-capper unit.

HTH.

Are you sure you're not using the size die? If you are, you need more lube on the case. IF you're using a deprime only die, it shouldn't even be touching the case, wrong deprime die?
Too small a flash hole wouldn't pull the rim off the case.

I pulled the decapping pin out of my Lee .223 die when the flash hole on a piece if Ingman brass was too small. It was definitely stuck before I pulled hard enough to pull the pin out. Strange things happen.
