I'm considering painting my AR.

How easy is it to get back original if I dont like it?

Depends on what you paint it with.

Krylon is easy to remove with acetone or brake cleaner.

Duracoat is a bit harder to remove, generally requiring epoxy remover or aircraft stripper.

Gun Kote must be blasted off.

I'd suggest going with off the shelf color furniture if you're not sure. It's kind of a no turning back deal or refinish in black again. If you do duracaot it will look awesome and last forever if done well. Kylon will look like a beat up turn in no time but will come off but it will be a lot of work and you will probably still have some in nooks and crannies.
