any one have any input on the buck sbmf( or whatever it is) the strider one. saw them in OD and tan at a local show fer sub 70$. seemed well made, nice thick blade. im happy with my gerber i carry but was looking for something alil more beefy per say for field work, http://www.knivesplus.com/buck-knife-strider-sbmf-bu-889od.html lil link with the knife. |

Knife input? Isn't that referred to as a stab? Anyway, you have enough knives, buy ammo instead. A knife won't stop the masses of zombies. ![]() Buck Strider Made it hot for you. Nice knife btw... |

I'd take a look at a Griptilian as well. 10 more dollars, but you get a superior blade steel, a more ergonomic scale handle, a tiny bit less weight, and what I think to be a better locking system for one handed opening/closing. |
I'm not a particularly big fan of the sub 440 stainless steels, mostly because they are a little too brittle to hold an edge properly. Having said that, this is my daily carry knife Buck Strider Buck Tarani The Buck SBT. I've carried this daily since before my last deployment. And I use it for everything. The steel is ATS-34 and I only have to spend a couple of minutes a week to keep an edge that cuts everything from 550 cord and 100mph tape to my daily mail. AG Russell also does discounts to PD, FD and service members...I bought a few knives from him during my deployment last year! |
