more specifically, what does an original one look like?

i saw a picture of a repro, but i want to see a real one.

I recently came across an original one, but the leather strap has been replaced with a wooden handle and it has been painted with white latex paint.

the inside of the door has a trace of green, and the inside of the box has the stenciled cartridges and is a natural color.

I am interested in refinishing this box to what it might have looked like back in the day.

can anyone help me out here?
