OK, i got a DBT tear off molle harness, for my IFAK, and i guess i must be a short bus kid, cuz i can't figure it out.  The pic shows where you attach the pouch, which is molle (the pouch).  It seems like once you pull the wire, the pouch just falls off.  Am I missing something here, of is the falling pouch the goal of the wire being pulled?

thnaks

The whole point is that you pull the handle and the IFAK (or whatever pouch you have mounted to it) comes free.

That is why you bought it, right?

yes, but if you pull the wire the pouch just falls.  so you need 1 hand to hold the pouch and another to pull the wire, i just thought that there must be more to it.  to keep the pouch from just falling.

Would be funny if those got issued Army-wide. The amount of pranksters pulling their buddy's IFAK cord...

Less annoying than the Marines pulling the MTV cords

I just use the Blue Force Gear Trauma Kit NOW! setup.   You open the flap on the pouch and pull and the whole medical ifak comes sliding out in one motion.  The pouch stays behind.   It is the best option I have found yet.

Dark green Rit Dye can help make it closer to ranger green.
