[ARCHIVED THREAD] - dsa scope mount

i installed a dsa scope mount on my metric...i just noticed that brass are hitting the scope mount (ejection area)...is this normal? and also some of my brass have dings on the brass top most portion..thank you

Thank for asking. I was wondering the same, because I just took my DSA STG58 with thier scope mount installed and it does the same thing. I though some thing wrong with my gun, but look like a normal condition.

If the marks bother you , a lot of people just glue a strip of thin rubber
(like inner tube ) where the cases hit

Very normal - even with the stock dust cover. I use the fuzzy part of the velcro cut to fit that area. I'd show you a picture but the photo server is down

I used the sticky side of velcro on mine. Bounces the brass right off.
