how about the delrin solution for us that aren't pussies about tearing down our guns, i'm doing an autopsy on day 1 to install new screws and pins anyways, be nice to throw a delrin in the pk while i'm at it. I just used a 11/16 OD plumbing O-ring from Home Depot in the faucet repair section. Works great in my carbine! Just a note, there's not enough room for a spacer of any kind in the PK; if you install anything at all in the front of the cocking tube, the bolt won't close. I don't think you need one anyway with the PK due to the fact that the front end is polymer anyway. No metal on metal. |

All of the dyslexic Yoda-speak aside, I just put 2 11/16" rubber o-rings in. Took all of 15 seconds and works perfect. Did you break yours down to do this, or were you able to insert the o-rings with the bolt/cocking tube in place? Just pull the handle back and lock it. Then slip the grommet or O ring through the slot, wiggle it around with a screwdriver or something to get it in there straight then slowly let the charge handle push it into place. |

Worked great for me. Took 15 seconds. Adds just a little cushion where it counts. I used one fat 11/16" (outside diameter) O-Ring from the plumbing dept. Slip it in sideways and push it upright with a screwdriver or something and close slowly to seat. I believe it could be removed with forceps when worn without disassembly. Cost about half a buck. |

| I tested a faucet repair grommet and o-ring in my carbine and PK. For me, the grommet worked the best in te carbine; personal preference I guess. For all the PK owners, don't try either one––there's not enough room for the bolt to fully close if you do the mod. Trust me, I tried. I don't think you'll need to mod the PK anyway due to the polymer construction of the cocking tube versus metal on the carbine. |

When I was looking for a delrin buffer to put in my GSG I was unable to find any available and was told by one of the persons that was offering them that since you could substitue either the o-rings or the grommet he wasn't going to make any more. I think that this is the situation with the others that had them for sale at one time. I have done both mods (grommet and o-ring) on my 5 and 5P and both work well. The o-ring mod is the easiest since you don't have to trim anything to fit. |
