As many of you know I like the small fighters but I also like for them to look non-threatening. There's something about black and strange wicked shapes that seems to draw attention to them and make the knives seem threatening, often more threatening than they really are.

One of the blades that has long been recognized as a good fighter is the old Bowie blade. here is one that James Luman from Montana made for me. It's a heavily etched spirograph Damascus. The blade is about 4 1/2" long, thick and perfectly balanced. The handle is Spalted Maple.









Mr. Luman also did one for me in a ATS-34 and 1084 Damascus that was then etched and blued.
