I wrote Senator John Edwards concerning a ban on .50 BMG rifles. The quote above is in part of his reply. He says he will oppose extreme gun control measures and quote" I believe law-abiding citizens have a right to own a gun." HOWEVER,

He says North Carolina has a "long tradition of hunting and sporting uses of guns".

He said he would keep my opinions in mind.

Question is: was he beating around the bush about .50s or do you think he really thinks .50s are legit firearms? Nowhere does he mention the .50 BMG. He never says (at least outright) if Waxman's .50 BMG ban is "extreme" or not!

He has said he does not support arming pilots.

He also always votes the party.

keep this in mind whenever you deal with any politicians... they lie all the time. If they dont lie they wouldnt ever be in that position. They will lie to you just to get votes.

sounds like another politician blowing smoke in the face of the people and in your particularly.

Remember he is not subject to these laws he passes.  Read the fine print.
