i'm thinking about getting one. has anyone here bought one recently, if so how rough are they? is it the milled or stamped version? do the #'s match?  i think it's safe to assume they have a dark bore based on there ad. i'm ok w/ that for the $ as long as they aren't to bad. i'd really appericiate to hear from anyone thats knows more about them. thanks in adv.   jeremy

From postings on the collector boards you could get a near excellent rifle to a rifle with  0 finish on outside . the common thing as you suspected is whatever you get it will have a " dark " bore.... Deff " Luck of the draw " as they say....
