Went to the gunshow this past weekend and I fell in love.

I MUST HAVE ONE!

A few Q's maybe you all can help mw with.

1- Where can I get a high-cap mag conversion kit?
2- 9mm or .45?
3- I want to get it SBR'ed...good idea?
4- Are these things as hard to clean as some say?

Thanks in advance!

1- Top Notch Parts 30rd Grease Gun Conversion $185.00
2- Only come in .45ACP
3- Replacement shorty (UMP) HK barrels are hard to find and expensive. Not sure on the law for SBRing existing 16" barrel, though...
4- No problems cleaning.

Also, I dyed mine black using rit dye (common fabric dye) and it looks awesome!!!

Thanks,

I can just get the barrel cut down by a pro but before hand i will send my forms to the ATF for the SBR

When you died it, how did you do it? Did you take off all the plastic and just soak it in a bathtub? How long?

This link will tell all (although it is for a SL8, it also works for the USC):

http://hk-54.com/forums/showthread.php?s=e3e3e92cf8117c7795b009f0ec12bb64&threadid=1525

No need to remove the barrel, just field-strip as per manual and dunk the polymer assemblies

I'll stick with my HK94

Took it to the range (finally!) the other weekend...I was doing doubletaps at 25 yards, both inside the 9 ring. (Imagine a really hungover guy shooting. That'd be me.)

Not stellar accuracy, but inside that size at 25 yards offhand? No recoil to speak of...woof!

I'd LOVE to try a USC tho. If it can do that sort of things for me as well, in .45....

The USC won't disappoint.

Accurate (even with lousy ammo) and easy to clean.

Anyone have any links for aftermarket stocks to replace the USC standard stock?

Thanks!

Go to HKPRO.COM.  Several threads on converting USC to UMP including grease gun conversion and UMP stock.  I've got the grease gun conversion and the dye job.  Looks awesome.  Looks even better with the fake suppressor I have o the barrel.  I am thinking about the SBR route.

Rollerdave or something like that on HKPro showed how he chopped off the USC stock and attached (using screws and epoxy and the like) a UMP stock. It looked damn good and he said it felt and shot sturdy.

I looked for you guys, but for the life of me couldn't find the thread.

He used acraglass to bond the stock to the lower.  There is a guy who has designed an adapter.  I believe his name is "Tweufling" or something like that.  It is in prototype stage.  Look WTS Accessories for the thread.

the only thing there is the catalog and it is out of date.  It list the grease gun conversion as $165 and as already noted it is now $185.  I have it on my USC it is a metal replacment for the plastic mag well and trigger guard.  Not to hard to do, you do have to take the internal parts out of your hk lower and put them into the comversion.  The instructions are a little unclear and the pictures that come with them are useless.  Took me about 2 hrs mainly because I had never done anything like it before and spent a lot of time trying to figure out how it went back togeather.  The conversion works great, have about 1000 round through it with no problems.  Only complaint is the bolt hold open no longer works with the conversion.
