I was looking for input on these two rounds for SHTF situations and home defense. Pros and cons, anyone?

With 5.56/2.23 in FMJ it's at it's best when it's at the velocity to fragment properly causing a bigger wound cavity and more damage.
The problem is it looses that velocity to fragment properly not that far off in the distance depending on the barrel and the velocity your getting from it and the particular round your using.
With good quality JSP, nosler partition, ballistic tips and fragmenting rounds your just going to be better off in reliable fragmenting and expansion up close and farther away than compared to plain FMJ.
The problem is the extra cost, but if you can afford it than stack it high and deep.

Federal premium
