I am curious as to if any of you have an accurate load for the .270 WSM with a 130 gr sitzer (either the Speer Hot Cor, or Nosler Partition).  The rifle is a Savage Weather Warrior.  I have had some luck with 59 gr of IMR 4350 (I believe, dont have the data at hand) and CCI Mag Rifle primers.  I am also looking at using H4831.  I would just like any experiences or pet loads that you might have  Thanks!

I don't have any data for 130 gr bullets.  I run 140 Nosler Accubonds and 135 SMK's with H4831SC if you want that.

I have tried tried the 140 Accubonds with all kinds of loads, including H4831SC.  Never had much luck.  The Winchester Supreme load with the 140 Accubond Bonded bullets shoots like a champ out of my rifle, and at 3200 fps which I was never able to approach with my hand loads.  I really hated to do it, but I bought 3 boxes of that factory ammo (at $46 a box) and only shoot them for elk, which is a couple rounds to make sure the gun is sighted in and one or two into an elk.  The 130 bullet I want to use for deer, antelope, etc because it is so much cheaper to roll my own.  Thanks for the input though.

I have dumped a ton of deer using 140 accubonds over an even 70 grains of H1000.  It is a MOA round for me but nothing special other than dumping whitetails like a Mack truck on the interstate.

If you can't get the AB's to shoot to your liking try the 140 gr hpbt gameking.

My kimber loves them with RE 19.

Had to get home to look over some of my data.

I started with IMR7828 and 130 Hornady Interbonds.  I don't remember the accuracy being all that great, but such is my experience with their bullets anyway.  66grs of 7828 put it at 3346fps.  The Winchester factory 130 BST load clocked 3366fps so its close and a bullet change might improve the accuracy.  Definitely work up to it. 66.5(3400fps) but we were shooting in Las Vegas summer temps.

67 grs of 7828 put 140 Accubonds to 3378fps(pressure).  We found 64grs to be the best accuracy holding 1moa@200yds-  3105fps.

I haven't been able to hit much velocity using H4831/140's either, only hitting 3013fps using 63.5grs.  Same charge weight with 135SMK's is holding 5 rounds into .617" with 215M and .717" with WLRM.  Bullets set .020" off lands.

Seems that I see the best velocities coming from 7828 and MagPro(never used it though).  I'll probably try the 7828 again as I want a bit more velocity for Elk myself.

Good luck!
